Of course it has been sat on a cassette tape or whatever for years so it wont be in the best of conditions but imo it sounds great, it's just not ideal bonus content. A few tracks you can enjoy as they are listenable length, like Wild Side Of Life... It's also great to hear them rehearsing Stay The Night prior to the BTB recording... a few tracks are missing from the rehearsal and Marguerita Time is one of them Cheers

What on earth are Bernie's solo tracks doing on Back To Back? OK so Francis, Rick & John are on them, but they're from 1974. If we're going to stretch the definition of what constitutes "Status Quo", then surely these should have been included on the "Quo" deluxe edition? And if we're going down that route, why not go the whole hog and put out Bernie's full unissued 1974 album rather than just the 7"?

1+9+8+2 Bonus material okay but think would have been better with Glasgow Apollo Show recorded by Radio Clyde Back To Back Bonus material Plenty of alternative stuff that could have been used from Montserrat In The Army Now Wasn't one of the Wembley Shows from 86 Recorded/Broadcast as FM Recording....? Couldn't this have been used instead of Audience Bootlegs again or the Audio from Brussels that was recorded by tv 1) That once was part of an early tracklisting. I then suggested the rehearsal tapes, given that we just had the NEC reissue. But I hope we'll see that live recording too at some point. 2) I kept inquiring but to no avail. 3) I tried to select only the most interesting tracks, hence the result. Again, possible we'll see a full live concert at some point. I don't know about Wembley. You're right about Brussels, but it didn't include any new songs, which I felt would make more sense to expand ITAN with.

The tracklisting has changed for the Army album... Army is missing; Naughty Girl 7" Single Mix In The Army Now (Den Bosch Maaspoort) Save Me (Den Bosch Maaspoort) and the Christmas Cake Mix is a mix of both versions... the one on the test disc ends on the Military Mix of Army and is missing Roll Over Lay Down... I prefer the original without Army on the end. and I don't know why Cadillac Ranch is constantly listed as a demo, when it is a studio outtake from The Wanderer sessions and Back To Back is missing; The Wanderer - Sharon The Nag Remix Milton Keynes Medley (although it would be more suited for the Army album as it was the Red Sky B-Side) Jealousy (Rossi solo version) 7" Single Mix, as it only has the Extended Remix I have to say I take some responsibility for the BTB omissions. In the case of Jealousy I think it wasn't quite clear that there were two versions (I didn't know about I Wonder Why either, but it was confirmed). The other two tracks are strange omissions that I simply didn't catch early enough. At least they were recently released on the "Essential Status Quo" 3CD set, but it's still not good. Mystery Medley would've belonged here as it was recorded by the same lineup, plus ITAN had time problems anyway.

So no Rick version of TCTTG or Alan's One Of A Kind (the intended B-side for The Wanderer) Unfortunately not but there’s an Anthology project in the pipeline with lots of rare live stuff, recording sessions and unreleased material. So watch this space... Unfortunately not but there’s an Anthology project in the pipeline with lots of rare live stuff, recording sessions and unreleased material. So watch this space... Are you sure about that QuoLion... as far as I know Universal aren't interested and "don't have" the budget for it... so I wouldn't be expecting anything It was me who originally suggested that to them, even including a very rough tracklist based on the things that were missing on the deluxe editions from the classic era. I hope it does come to fruition, and hopefully they'll have the budget to remix a couple of classic tracks too. That would be really exciting.

Rossi solo tracks on a SQ release is pushing it a bit. But Bernie Frost solo stuff too? From what I know, Rossi and Coghlan feature on those tracks... I could be wrong But you're right... they don't belong on a Quo release, but a standalone release... and Bernie won't see any money from these releases Yes, my suggestions included actually releasing the Flying Debris album and tagging on the 12" version and Bernie's solo single. But given that this doesn't seem likely in the near future, I don't really mind it.

I actually wasn't aware that Bernie did an entire album in 1974 but like Flying Debris, it's probably something to consider for a future release - but probably not until the Universal deluxes are through. I’ll get 1982 purely for the rehearsal tapes remember when this came out long time ago on the old board Apart from that the rest doesn’t really excite me.Are there no decent recordings of any EOTR dates they could have stuck on BTB? Cheers Some of the tapes have been found. I did point out that EOTR should stand on its own, so I don't doubt we'll see that, but not just as an add-on for BTB, but as a release in its own right. Nothing's final as far as I know, but that's hopefully how it'll turn out.

wtf is a "Christmas Cake Mix" does it include Rossi & Frost singing Mistletoe & Wine?
You put everything in it, cut it into small bits and set it on fire. It's a special treatment for leftover tracks and things that shouldn't have been released in the first place.
Oh hang on, that's the "Christmas Pudding Mix."

But given that this doesn't seem likely in the near future, I don't really mind it. You're in favour of solo stuff being released under the Quo name because it wouldn't be released ordinarily? For the record, several songs from Rick's unreleased solo album were released under the Quo name, apparently that is not an issue for you? And since I apparently haven't made myself clear enough yet; it was not the way I envisioned it, and I pointed that out, but yes, those tracks do belong to the Quo story in some form. To the point: Jealousy and I Wonder Why are both re-recorded Quo songs, That's Alright was later redone by Quo. And Modern Love was on a Quo 3CD compilation not so long ago, alongside other solo tracks. It's always easy to complain about something, when you could take action yourself! But fact is, I made suggestions, and you didn't. I think some of the other deluxe editions are looking pretty good content-wise.
