If playing songs in a "new" way is excused with not being nostalgic, what is the label if you just play them in a bad way? Interesting as you see my point as an excuse. It wasn't the intention but simply how I see it. But you make me laugh with your next question.

Imo Francis's idea of nostalgia is a combination of drug exce$$, lots of arguing especially with Alan, and being ripped off with management. CQ means control and easy money.

I'd say easier money - and less risk - but otherwise that would about be his personal Quo nostalgia definition. Some people tend to remember the good things and forget the bad times, with others it's the bad things that mainly stick - you don't choose which type you are and Francis is probably the second. Concerning risk: Rick's health has been a problem for a few years now, Alan's would add additional risk of gigs and tours having to be canceled.

I absolutely agree, snakelady, as I've run my own business for 30 years now and I'm looking to easing back and selling over the next few years. I've done all the long hours and hard yards so the easy road is very tempting. But I don't have many thousands of fans wanting me to do what I did 40 years ago whereas Francis Al John and Rick do. I can't understand why Francis doesn't give the green light to maybe say 4 gigs shared in London and Glasgow. No need to stress and make a major tour. Fly Alan over and feed the FF flock. Re: the previous FF tours, for me it was far too far to travel but I got a big kick knowing they were back playing again and I loved all the buzz and reports from you fans that went.

I think the hard part for fans to understand is that it is show business. We get the fun part of the show. For us, all we can see is a great night out with people we admire, adore or simply enjoy what they bring to the show.
But for the creator, once the novelty has worn off or the need to be adored has been satisfied, the desire to do it can go.

If desire is gone, the call it a day.

Yes but he's only doing as a job now, isn't he??? For the money? The FF fans are a different experience.
