I’m sure many of you have seen this. An enjoyable little video.
Clearly around Pictures time.
‘So he thought that they had never been better.’ Almost dismissive of Alan and John.

I suppose you don't quite realise you're missing something unless you suddenly get it back as happened with the FF reunions, then what you're left with never seems quite the same. Great interview showing Rick as he was, flaws and all and him recognising them, something Francis can't do sadly.

I'm watching Liam Gallagher at that "Biggest Weekend" radio2 pish just now. Feckin hell, he's bad. A shambles. Vocally, he's not making it by a semitone every time. As flat as Posh Spice's chest. And he's using an autocue. His brother was head and shoulders above him last night, and even he wasn't great. Thank fuck for Quo. And Zep. And The Who. And Purple. And Sabbath. And Rainbow. And all the rest. All of these guys. Where are all the replacements for these guys?....there's fuck all. Ed Sheeran?....James Bey?....Sam Smith?... Get tae fuck. If any of today's shite is still being played forty years from now, I'll French kiss Thatcher's corpse. How utterly depressing. Taking the wife to see some of her favourites soon. She said to me "is there anyone you want to see" and I answered "Nobody" she said what about Status Quo and I told her "Parfitt died and that's it".I spent a whole gig watching him on the NTL tour.

Liam Gallagher has always been sloppy from what I've seen. For someone so highly strung, he always sounds like he really couldn't give a rat's arse - And probably doesn't. A lazy singer. His brother isn't a great guitar player, but I do like the High Flying Birds - Especially "What A Life".
What I've never liked about either of them is their propensity to spout utter crap just to cause a scene. A right pair of gobshites.
I remember Noel (I think) saying that he wanted to join Quo on stage and play Rockin' All Over The World, and Francis Rossi said something like "Come back when you're good enough"...
The only band I want to see now is Airbourne. Saw them at Leeds O2 a couple of years back, and they reminded me of what seeing a proper Rock band was about. Loud as F**k, and some pretty damned good playing too.
