SQ have put Rick's album as main focus of it's website, with links to listening on spotify and to buying it. Clearly bad feeling there from Rick Jnr towards CQ but I'm not sure what else exactly he'd like or expect them to do

I don't do twitter but I suspect it's because the SQ twitter is not pushing it. I had a quick look at the SQ FB page as well and that doesn't seem to have been updated either. I would have thought they'd have featured Rick's album today.

Or put a tweet out. It would have taken 2 minutes. It is Status Quo who said the focus had moved from the website to facebook. Francis could have said a few kind words. But nothing. Unless he said something in the new ftmo mag.

Downloaded the album today listened to it once won’t be listening again.I know that people are all sad still about Rick but if you just put that to one side and listen to the music it’s very average rock/pop.IMO.Dont get what all the fuss is about. Cheers

I’m liking the album a lot . Does Alan play bass on any of it ? . Who’s drumming ? . Is Coggy on any of it ? . What do you think Francis thinks of it ? , especially When I Was Falling In Love To me this album rates as high as anything since Never Too Late , congratulations to all involved . If this wasn’t released as a solo album , which tracks would you want on the mooted “ PLC “ ep / album . Were any of these tracks turned down by “management “ in the past for a status quo album .

Is Halloween exactly the same recording as the one from the 80s? It has aged better than most other RP tracks from that era. I always thought Halloween and Heartburn had a bit of a Muse vibe about them, so it’s good to see the Muse bass player involved in Over and Out.

Shame they didn’t remix it Clocking in at 36 mins , can understand why they thought they needed another song.

Cheers I think poignant is the word. Listened to the title track ? I wouldn’t have paid the song much attention a few years ago ....but now, bloody hell ! It’s certainly not headbangers heaven and very little you could call hard rock. Diverse and classy, I think the songs are all very high quality. There’s some I haven’t decided whether I like but I do think it’s very good music. Also think his voice sounds great and it’s so good to be able to listen to it

There's a few 'spooky' sound effects added into it, not heard on the original Quo-released version.

I had intended to buy the album today. However, my local CD stores only had the single disc edition..... and not the 2-CD box set featuring "The Band's Mix". If I wish to acquire this, I will most probably have to order it online. However, before doing so, I wish to seek the thoughts & opinions of those who have listened to both CDs (or vinyl LPs) to see if they feel it was worth it. Hence, are the band mixes on disc 2 much different to the so-called big sounding mixes on disc 1?

I found this photo retweeted by RPJ just now. Lovely to read all the excitement from him and the fans there too.
And its no 10 on ALL the Amazon CD & vinyl chart just now (23/3/18 at 23 hrs) - not just rock.
