I remember that this song, together with Heavy Traffic, were played pre-album release on the 2001 tour. Very welcome at the time to hear something fresh and Quo being a bit adventurous for a change!
It sounded pretty good live on stage at the time though haven't listened to it or the album for a long time.

One of the more tolerable 'modern' tunes.

Had to google it, and was it a hit ? 'NO' highest position 50 which is piss poor, the die hard quo fans who would collect every single/album had long vanished by then.
Sounds ok though I admit.

From an album when it was released, was as good as when I lost my virginity...
I f*ckin loved it back then, thought it sounded so good, compared to the shite they had done the last ten years prior to that.
Now I never listen to the album anymore...on the other hand, don't listen to much Quo at all.

I thought they kept the song Heavy Traffic back for the brilliant tour in 2002 then it promptly vanished out of sight as usual.

At the time I thought it was bang average. Haven’t heard it for years. Not in a hurry to hear it again. Production not great. Lyrics dreadful. Bass playing pants.... you get the idea.

I wondered who would be the first person to spot my deliberate mistake! Your prize is a signed album and is on its way to you!... I hope you like The Wurzels? You are correct it was All Stand Up and Solid Gold on the 2001 tour (apologies) and then Heavy Traffic followed on after for the next tour 2002. As you say Heavy Traffic didn't hang around long. Personally thought it worked well and a true highlight in the set but they obviously felt differently.

Fully agree with the second part, shame they put The Oriental in the set and never took it out again.
