Just been watching The Green Green Grass (OFAH spin off) Series 4 Episode 4 and quo play the theme tune at the end of the show, plot is son puts on a mini glasto and Boyce loves quo, they're playing, you don't see them, it's a stock live recording, but do play the theme tune at the end. Never noticed it before, not sure if anyone has ever posted about it. Yes I know it's shite, just thought it may be of interest to someone......it's on UK gold

Thanks for that. I believe writer John Sullivan was a Quo fan paying homage to Quo hence Quo tracks finding their way in to Green Green Grass and Only Fools.
Brilliant writer. Sad loss. Journalists sometimes liken Rossi's facial mannerisms in interviews to that of David Jason in Only Fools.
Always thought the same myself.
Boyce and Marlene(!)were involved in the Quo art project/auction some time ago.

GGG was a terrible show. OFAH not bad overall.
The Del falling through the bar and chandelier scenes are overrated.
The best ones involved Uncle Albert.

Quite brave and a massive gamble to attempt a spin off. Doubt that would happen today.
It was the sheer consistency, for me, with Only Fools over 20 years that marks it out as something special. Dad's Army is the only other series that gets close in terms of consistency of writing and acting through many years on our screens.

This episode was utterly brillliant! Brillliant writing. The entire 1 hour episode was written to lead up to that moment and the "cwying". You had to watch the episode again to check that he had changed the words of other songs to avoid 'r's. I would urge anyone who hasn't seen it to wacth this episode. And by the way, the male singer was in the HeeBeeGeeBees who did this:
