Interesting and part enjoyable.
It does have some of the energy and sound of Quo but it would not however attract me to listen to over over again as the bass in parts is irritating, Rossi's guitar sound is irritating and the drums just do not quite hit the mark.
Rossi used to say to critics of Quo and their music that it all sounded the same and never seemed to change by saying: 'Don't be stupid, Do you think Coca-Cola would change their recipe.' Quo in this era did however change the recipe both in the bass and drums but also guitar sound and tone since Rossi started to mess with his guitars and tones (and also Rossi with the loss of his unique nasal vocal whine, probably through cocaine abuse).
This change was not to the better.
Unfortunately they also instead of moving on to try and make new music for the new band fell in to the trap of trying to make new music but always cloaking it in what was perceived to be a Quo sound as they were fearful it would not sell otherwise. They were not brave enough or confident enough in their new music that they really wanted to play. The result was banal mediocrity.
To many Quo music is regarded as simple and within this the drums and bass the simplest part of the 12 bar shuffle. How wrong. It is simple in theory but the sound is more than a theory, it is a feel and chemistry. Lancaster and Coghlan may not be considered to be musical supremos by some (although to myself they are as they had an understanding of and feel for the music they were playing). They had a musicality, chemistry and touch for the music that no one that followed even came close to. In other words they were the perfect ingredient for the Quo recipe that other substitutes did not quite come up to doing the job in the mix.

So where did these come from? This is the sort of thing that would have been good on the deluxe releases rather than unlistenable bootlegs.

Enjoyed those, cheers. SR good. BFM very good - and although not as loud in the mix as it often was, I do find the overuse of keyboards intrusive and well, just plain wrong for this song.

Nothing wrong with them at all
But, again, it's missing "the sound"

the keyboard sounds in BFM are not needed just make it sound light very out of place and not needed but overall still good

It's around the period Quo had a shit sound live... Not surprised, but I do enjoy things like this
