Fuck it....
Had a pop...
"Would be nice if the page said something about Lemmy...Rick was mates with him...They both presented a TV show together, Lemmy got onstage with CQ, at the Hammersmith Odeon, in 1986....He also showed up at the real Quo's farewell gig/aftershow party in 1984, before the band added Milton Keynes, due to demand........I'm fully aware the band these days likes to distance themselves from the FF and what they truly were and what made the public love them in the first place but, a nod to Lemmy would be nice"

TAFKAR spoketh when Freddie Mercury died..... was on telly and all.... these days things are so much easier. Doesn't Gert and Mike lurk on these very pages anymore? It is you who pays their wages..... sometimes.
Clarification: It is YOU as a punter / fan/ faithful buyer of Quo-goods that pays the wages of the above mentioned gentlemen... Not this very message board.

CQ try to distance themselves as far away from rock music as possible (Laughable considering they make a living off it) I also recall Francis not liking Lemmy very much after some incident in the 80's.....Then again, that's Francis. He shafted his best and only true mate I'm not going to pretend I was a Motorhead fan but, Lemmy was one of the reasons, albeit small reason, why I picked up an instrument and got into rock music....I'll always appreciate that. As for CQ...Fuck them and Porter Francis did talk very positively and respectful about Lemmy around the time he had his solo album out (don't remember where - maybe one of his radio shows ?).

Was there an official statement for Jess Jaworski when he died?. As Lemmy had been onstage with them in 1986 and had worked with Rick,a perfunctory tribute from the official site/FB page would have been the least to expect. I think there wasn't an official statement re Jess., it was on Spuds page,, it was the same weekend Rick had his heart attack on the bus, mind you Rossi rolled over and went back to sleep, WTF..I rest my case I suppose that an official statement about Jess would have put the whole 1962/1965 band formation nonsense back in the spotlight,so they let it pass without comment.

I'm shocked at you DQ...
CQ have quite a good Christmas song and yet, it was never once posted on their FB and their Twitter account is the equivalent of a snail.
What did you expect mate?

Lets get real...I'm sure Quo will pass on their deep respects for Lemmy,Motorhead and the rock community. They don't need to share with the world their respects.

As others have said, it may be that they would only have bothered if they thought they could have got some publicity out of paying their respects publicly.
With heavyweights like Brian May, Gene Simmons, Ozzy, Metallica and Geezer paying tribute, who'd give CQ any airtime?
