cheers anyway stephen, everyones entitled to there opinion, pity ya wont see richard with quo,hes a dam good rhythm guitarist, rick said that himself, and thats straight from the horses mouth, anyway do ya see brian these days howes he keepin, whats his view on all this ,and its always been frames show, the buck stops with him,but im not goin in to all that now,im to old for that now,ha ha,cheers This whole thing with panto Quo and fans playing in the band has just got ridiculous. 'Ritchie' is not Parfitt by any stretch of the imagination and the band he is playing in is definitely not Status Quo. He is playing with Francis Rossi which is great for him but that is that. He is not a member or playing with Status Quo and don't be deluded otherwise. A few weeks ago I did go on the internet and watch few videos of Ritchies own band. There was nothing that I could see which would make think he is a 'dam good rhythm guitarist' and as far as I could see the other guitarist in the band was more talented and doing all the playing/work. You are right he is not a member he is a stand in for Parfitt , but apart from Richie the rest of the band are full members are they not of the band Status Quo. Not the Status Quo most of us want it to be but in the cold light of day, there is no deluded about it, it's the Status Quo of today.

All we have is AL's side of thing as previously we have had FR's. The one thing I would question is the JC sacking, I was always led to believe it was a band decision and now it's nasty old Francis's fault. Nope... It's varied over the years but, the one constant in the stories was, John losing the rag and Francis ringing Pete to come in. Alan blamed himself for letting it happen before but, it's always been said Francis made the call to get Pete in. Even Francis has said it Now, what happened between John losing it and Francis ringing Pete is anyone's guess but, the way Francis treated Alan and other members since, I think it's a safe bet he was pushing to get John out I remember in an JC interview, he did say he had had enough didn't want to tour anymore, got sick of it all, or something along those lines. It was a difficult situation but they had to carry on.

1.99 £ if you take my ticket for the London-gig. Shame it's not a Leeds ticket.

I'm sure that John Coghlan's Quo is legal - if not, no doubt Mr Porter would have had words by now. But we are talking about the name Status Quo in this instance and I am sure Mr Porter doesn't come into it seen as JC doesn't use that name.

In my world Frame has no more right than Spud to use the name Status Quo, Yep, BUT in the real and legal world Francis has the right, John doesn't This.

I for one am not comfortable with Rick missing and my gigging days are probably over if he doesn't return. However I am not one for knocking the way things have gone either, Ricks condition could not have been for seen and like i said it's what it is now at the moment or nothing at all. I enjoy some of what they are doing , but not all, one thing I could have called though is that on here they were mainly going to get slaughtered. I am quite surprised they didn't get slaughtered at the gig. Why would they? the people that are at the gig are there because they wanted to be

Well... I never thought I'd have this reaction - have I gone over to the dark side? No, you are already over here.

Shall we ring him up and ask him to look a bit more miserable? No but, we could ring him up and ask him to wear a blonde wig and double denim, so you and others are more comfortable to call him Rick And before anyone says anything, the things some "fans" are saying, that's the way it's heading. I for one am not comfortable with Rick missing and my gigging days are probably over if he doesn't return. I didnt say the actual one off concert didn't make money but the tour. And yes I get that at times they have to take risks..but they didn't set out to lose money...the demand was way below what they had hoped for...and now we have them, not being able to sell 700 tickets. They are flogging a dead horse...and let's not forget that they are about to take even more degrading steps by taking this once great rock band on a tour ship...All so that they can continue to flog this dead horse... Nothing wrong with a Cruise ship performing. Afterall Alan did ! Let's blame AL for giving FR the idea.

Wake up yourself, it looked full enough to me and didn't you bang on about having to cancel it Your passion for CQ to fail has to be commended tho. AQ1 charted far longer than you said it would, and touring it is tough, small venues and a lot of musicians to pay, but yet they still want to do AQ2? A big seller so why didn't it translate into ticket sales. Small seated venues compared with their usual half hall arenas. But ticket sales were less than stella. The band lost money. Will they tour it again ? Or do set piece shows? Don't get me wrong it's not really my cup of tea but let's face facts, they aren't fit enough for FF or CQ electric tours anymore, hence stopping after winter. What's the answer, get Rick fit enough to do a sit down acoustic or retire? Rossi cant be ready yet and what we get is what we get enjoy it or don't enjoy it. But like I said decline or not, most bands would have disappeared long before now and CQ ( i know we need RP back quick) are still around.
