Aye ive met JC a good few times & hes exactly how you describe him there I dont mind that cos he comes across as a genuine bloke, when we met AB outside the city hall in Newcastle my son had the Just For The Record book he asked him if he didnt mind would he take it in & ask Rick & Francis to sign it for him as they were already in the building, i also had a couple of cd covers (bear in mind the previous year Rhino got a couple of things done no probs - in fact he was great about it) so we didnt think it was an out of the way polite request really, AB`s reply was " i havent got time for shit like that" tbh i thought it was said in jest & laughed expecting him to .... he didnt he said just said " did you not hear me the first time?" & walked in the venue! i was fuckin livid him not for me but more so me son he was bang out of order, as i said Matt was just behind & quite frankly looked embarrassed by it all he said " I`l take them in no problem" he did & brought them back out also spent a few minutes chatting to us he didnt need to do that but did & i thanked him for it, AB can forever go & piss up a rope as far as we`re concerned! That's a surprise - and a disappointment. Obviously much more for you and your son. He seems fine in interviews and documentary clips and quite an off-beat sense of humour - but then none of these are interacting with fans. Can't say I blame you for your attitude towards him if that's how he behaved
Matt always came across as a decent guy in his time with the band. Definitely not his head up his arse either - so good to hear he is like that in ordinary life as well Matt was an absolute gent CL & it was much appreciated

As a person, met him in Newcastle with my son a few years ago acted like a right arrogant prick to us both fortunately Matt Letley was there & was different class, im very easy going & get on with anyone but his attitude that day will stick with me forever he was an absolute arsehole. Just as well Spud wasn't with him, I've been in bars on the reunion tours where JC would be drinking with Quo fans like he was one of them and then on other nights he'd walk straight past and give them that fuck off look., personally I though it was fabulous, after reading for over 35yrs that JC could be like this, though the couple of nights he joined us in the Bar were priceless.!! Not seen the band live since the reunion gigs,For me and I am sure for many on here that was our farewell to the band we new and loved. have tried to watch some of the recent clips without Rick and have had to stop after a short time. The way Rossi seems happy to carry on without Rick being there I find disgusting. I wish nothing more than for Rick to get his health back and spend what time he has left with his family and enjoy life. First saw the band in 72 and for me these recent shows only reinforce the view I and many others have that Rossi really doesnt give a shit about anyone else and is only concerned with his pension fund. One of the best posts ive read recently on here & couldnt have summed things up better myself

Seen them loads of times in the 80`s & early 90`s fantastic band and great guys, still go & see Dan Baird & Homemade Sin every year - another cracking night out the artwork you mention would be the same as it was done by the same guy a good friend of mine actually so it wasnt as you say "ripped off" also as for them all being Quo fans - not quite true only Rick Richards was and still is a Quo fan - check out The Western Sizzlers

Probably because there was horror at Quo's poppy new direction, the GS picked up shed loads of hardcore Quo fans in the late 80's It was great to see so many Quo t-shirts at the gigs. I became massively into them. During the 90's I even got solo stuff imported from the states that wasn't released in the UK. They were a very good live band. They almost had everything....the image, the sound, the live vibe. But the songwriting was second division. I don't think many of them have stood the test of time. I don't really listen to them anymore. Closest to Quo? I'd say Open all night The similarities to Quo's "Wanderer" video are striking. They also ripped off the cartoonish artwork that Quo had used a few years previously These similarities were no coincidence. Despite being American, the band were huge Quo fans.
