Antwerpen, Belgium 17/11. Francis said : 'This song has been written by Andrew and Rick. About a subject dear to Rick. This is 'Don't drive my car''. That's it I'm afraid. Cheers

There's plenty of other much better songs that would be a far better tribute to the man.

TBH i thought the gig was great despite it being one of the worst Quo audiences I've ever seen. Full of pissed up wankers intent on talking through most of it. I've seen better atmosphere's in libraries. Perhaps someone can confirm but they've dropped the key of Rain for Rhino to sing? I didn't think there was anything wrong with Rhino's vocal on it personally but musically it's just not right.

DDMC is one of my least favourite Quo songs so I agree with you there, seemed an odd choice to do it as a tribute but then they've been playing it on and off for years so god forbid they bother to learn anything new...

For me personally, changing the key of a song is most of the time not a good idea cos it changes the character of a song often completely. They'd be better off limiting themselves to those songs they still can do in the right key imo

And it’s funny coz on Facearse they were all saying it was the best they’d seen Quo and crowd was really up for it That must have happened then after I left before the torturous ITAN started Crowd was shite Cheers

It wasn't even sold out I believe as Hexagon was advertising tickets on twitter earlier in the day. It did get noticeably emptier the longer the gig went on so maybe others followed your lead haha. Really enjoyed Hold You Back and Paper Plane as always. I used to read some of the Quo stuff on facearse but I started to pay far less attention after i read apparently some ballbag sold a shit load of dodgy bootleg DVDs at the Quo convention in October this year and made a fortune ripping people off. Guilty pleasure moment, thought the support Cats in Space were actually quite fun.
