I'm off to see the thing labelled as Queen + Adam Lambert in a few days.....
Tell me, if you have seen the show, what is there to expect? Just curious, not a 100% Queen-fan but I like BM alot. And the Taylor-Parfitt-connection was interesting. A pity it didn't go anywhere...

I've seen Queen with Adam Lambert and with Paul Rodgers and personally preferred it with Paul as he is so much his own man vocally there was no way anyone could say he was trying to be a Freddie substitute, plus I love all his back catalogue with Free, Bad Company and solo. Adam Lambert is much closer to Freddie vocally and with all the stage mannerisms but to me because he is closer in style it just showed up the fact more that he isn't Freddie and not knowing any of his own solo stuff he comes across as a bit characterless. Brian and Roger are still fantastic though, as is Spike Edney. You should have a great night and hearing those songs live is still such a huge joy.

My thoughts on Paul Rodgers as well. I am starting to look forward to this event now!

Enjoyed it but wouldn’t go again. Paul has such a great voice. Queen were never my cup of tea really. But it reeks of cash in now. The best I have seen of Paul was his Muddy Waters tribute tour.

Put on your best headphones and turn the volume up to max. Sometimes risking deafness is worth it!

An update on the event: F*ckin' great! A fab show, mr. Lambert sings really good, and the two legends are... legends! I obviously have a soft spot for "Love of my life" . And just a thought... the tribute to the late, great Freddie Mercury... See and learn Porter and FRQ, see and learn...

We see the show early next year , and I understood it to be a celebration of News of The World ( 40 years ) ? Do they play many off of that album ? . Excluding We Will Rock You / We Are The Champions , Tie Your Mother Down . Love to know if there were any recordings of Rick and Roger other than Its An Illusion.

So wanted to see Q+PR but they never came to Oz - I do treasure the "Return of the Champions" DVD though.
QAL - nah...even though they have been here twice.
