She's being accused of being a money grabbing woman on the *other side*. So much for the hatred against men (bar one) that is exhibited over there on a frequent basis. I don't bother going over there too much any more, haven't for a while because they're just a bunch of hypocrites, and they don't like being proven wrong. A bit sad tbh. They like to throw the bait and try get people snapping, cause they obviously like an argument but it's pointless.

Rick *started* an autobiography before he passed. Not sure how much of it was completed but it's already been revealed that it reveals a LOT of truths. Quos management certainly will not release it, as it would make them look bad... so we will have to see what happens. Cheers What is the source of this ? As the official line was Quos management were handling the book and not a word was written. A synopsis was sent to publishers. It's not clear how much had been written, if anything, other than this.

The other four are normally taken out of the equation, as long as they are pally with Francis. And write "nice songs" about women.

It's not clear how much had been written, if anything, other than this. It's unusual for a non-writer star to write anything organised without the help of a journo or ghost writer. And it takes time. I don't think Rick had time, and there hasn't been a hint of anyone else being involved. So I would take a wild guess that nothing more than a few notes have been put down.

I appreciate that many here are still angry and upset about the band's handling of Rick's death. I really do.
I was taken aback by interviews in both Europe and Australia with Francis and Richie, and how he was being introduced to the the fans. That did make me uncomfortable so soon after he had passed away.
But this interview took a very different tone. When I googled 'Francis Rossi Good Morning Britain to see if this came up on youtube, I found past interviews with him and Rick on this show. So on reflection, what would have been totally insulting would have to have had this 1st British interview with Francis and Ritchie. They didn't do that, thank goodness.
I didn't see a man who blamed Rick for everything. He simply said why he found it hard to work him. He wasn't angry or bitter to me, simply stating facts.
Despite their fame, huge numbers of record sales and successful tours, neither of them had the courage or confidence to find other people they might enjoy working with more. They both played it safe and sadly, this is the end none of us wished for.

I empathise with anyone who loses a close friend/associate, especially someone they have known/worked with for 50 years.
As some have said on FB pages, we don’t know them and the full dynamics of their relationship – those closest to them know much more…..so we shouldn't be assuming that we can somehow tell Francis "how" he should react in interviews.
But what concerns me a little is the “veneration” of St. Francis of Purley by many modern Quo fans on FB pages who regard him as beyond any sort of scrutiny ( and that anyone with an alternative view is a despicable Francis-hater? ).
I think many have been duped by the Quo PR machine “Francis has always been the mainstay of Quo” narrative.
Francis didn’t want Quo in 1985…...he effectively left the band/wanted a solo career. I don’t know the details, but it’s evident that when that flopped and Quo had to pay their dues to their record company, Francis had to return.
Benefitting from a music industry obsessed with simple “frontman” iconography – Freddie is Queen, Mark is Dire Straits, Mick is Simply Red - Francis was “hot property” for the marketable imagery of Quo. He appears to have used his favoured position to dictate the terms, have his own demands met and notably to oust Alan from the band. Rick, being in a weaker financial position had little choice but to choose the “sure bet”.
All of that leading to the “Francis and Rick are Quo ( and always have been )" era of narrative from the band’s management, that effectively airbrushed Alan and John out of the legacy
– that now, after the sad loss of Rick, appears to have morphed into a rather blithe “Francis was always the good guy of the whole legacy of Quo"?

It's very strange and deeply concerning, on a human level, that people over on that other forum will not allow anything remotely critical of Francis to be said...
She's saying the truth will come out about Francis, her son has said it and JC pretty much posted something similar on FB in regards an article about no tribute for Rick some time ago... Yet, they're all a pack of ***** and Francis is untouchable?!
Very peculiar tbh.

I have no issue with Rossi not crying I have no issue with anything he says concerning Rick. Yes it would have been nice for a mention or even a background picture at a gig.The emotional attachment fans place on these people is somewhat embarrassing in my personal opinion sorry if that offends. Didn’t know Rick personally though met him on countless occasions over the years, but I haven’t cried or got upset. He was the guitarist in a band I like same as Rossi is. My only issue is how Rossi continues to tour as SQ when it clearly isn’t and his somewhat bizarre interviews where he puts down his own fans and legacy.Which is why I no longer pay any attention to anything he says or does. What’s going to happen once it all ends?Theres going to be some individuals with a gaping big hole in their lives because too much emotional attachment has been placed on the band That’s all it is,just a rock band Cheers

But, it's called decency and respect to do the right thing... I'm not exactly sure what you're reading but, a decent mention of the guy to honour him wouldn't go a miss. Sweeping him under the carpet is disrespectful as fuck. It's not about an "emotional attachment" it's about doing what's right. You're right, there is going to be a huge hole in people's lives when "Status Quo" (Bahahahahaha) pack it in but, you're not going to find any of them here I'm not quite sure what you mean by embarrassing either.. You fall in love with music, people grow an attachment to that music... So what?! Plenty of bands I don't listen to 24/7 but, I love certain songs and it puts me in a different mood, feeling, mindset when I hear those songs. It becomes something I associate with a part of my life. When something happens to the people who wrote or performed those songs, that become part of your life, you do feel sad about it. If that's embarrassing, then I'm an absolute embarrassing knob..
