I watched some recent YouTube videos of the band. To me, everyone in the band has lost their credibility as they are just carrying on as normal without Rick.
Although in some ways it's just a job to them. It means more to the hardcore fans than it does to the current band members.
I thought of a comparison to Queen. I don't know if their fans have similar misgivings about the band continuing to perform without 2 key members.
Same applies to Kraftwerk. Only one original member remaining.
I would rather go to a Karl Bartos concert than a Kraftwerk concert. At least it would be accurately advertised.
It's all in a name to me. If Rossi changed the name to Francis Rossi's Status Quo show, I wouldn't mind.
But it's kind of besmirching the name of Quo with the current state of affairs.

They can't change the name to refer to Rossi as they'd have to change it again when he retires & the band carry on without him.

Rossi´s Quo, Rhino´s Quo sounds more or less the same and everything will be miles and miles from Status Quo or John Coghlan´s Quo.

"Franchise Rossi's Quo'...
(and they are horrendous. Can't bear to even watch videos of them any more or hear mention of them. Really annoys me that they are continuing to abuse the name 'Status Quo'. It used to be a joke and irritation and i could laugh at the joke that almost everyone knew they were/are but as it goes on, and in particular without Rick and their total disrespect for him, I have started to really hate them. My general outlook and approach in life is not to hate any one or anything, but this band triggers hatred in me. It is the total dishonesty, lack of ethics, truth, being straight in life, smarminess, sleaziness, etc., things that the ordinary down to earth, no BS, 'Quo' used to stand against (and for the opposite) in their music. As such they are totally the opposite to everything that was Status Quo both musically and in outlook/philosophy on life)

What I feel more is sadness of a once so fantastic band becoming what it has become. And the sadness is slowly going into indifference more and more.
