I'm going!! Yes it was great last time! It was something that I felt unsure about at first.... I love Quo but didn't think conventions were my sort of thing.... but I thoroughly enjoyed it in spite of horrendous tooth ache at the time!

Not to derail the thread or start anything. Just something dawned on me... 3 vital ingredients to Quo (Alan, John and Bob) will be at a fan convention and performing. Whilst one vital ingredient and 4 lads are performing as Status Quo on the same day... That is truly unbelievable. In response to the thread, I won't be going sadly but, it's going to immense and I'm jealous of those going. Enjoy

It's going to be an absolute blast. Quality bands playing deep cuts, 4500 Times, Roadhouse Blues etc.
The Quo Army, having a few drinks, celebrating this amazing band. It's going to be the send off for Rick that we need to go through and try and get some closure as a community of fans. Alan, John & Bob being there is just the best thing ever.

Have a great time mate. The last convention was an awesome weekend and this one looks bigger & better, I'm sure a lot of Quo joy to be spread around Butlin's over three days. We'll be enjoying Quo here in Australia at the same time, but already looking forward to Convention 2019.

Not going but could someone ask Alan who, in addition to him and Rick, were on the Gaslight Sessions. Was John on drums?
Just listened to them today and, with Alan and Rick playing with John the same week at the Marquee, I wondered if he returned the favour on the demos. I also wonder if he would have rejoined Alan and Rick if the record company had accepted those tywo as Quo.
Note: this is not supposed to be inflammatory in any way - I'm really interested!

Enjoy the Oz gigs, makes a change for you to not have to schlep half way across the planet to see them!
