Has started replying to people's comments now.
Most noticeably, it's replying to some negative comments with posts such as: "When was the last time you listened to Quo?" "But, what about the music?" "We should all just agree to love the music"
My point? I don't really have a point on that subject. Just thought it was interesting

I think that is interesting. And I'm surprised its taken them so long to do that. Whatever we think of the current line-up, it must be hurting their business if they don't respond.

FB, social media, "he said, she said"...Always sources of indifference as far as I am concerned with people spouting off vacuously about anything and everything.
For what little it is worth, actions always speak louder than words. Its up to them to do something about it, i.e act on it, or not. Chances are very high they won't anyway and the comments reflect that.
Nothing to see here, unless you eat and drink FB and social media of course. Then it becomes possible to try to persuade someone that an otter is really an elephant...

I've just had a look over on it and I noticed this posted on 16th Sept - ie 2 days ago. Get ready for a MASSIVE night of electric guitars and ROCK! Don't MISS Status Quo at Hamer Hall Arts Centre Melbourne on their last ever tour before they hang up the electric axes and go acoustic. This is a show NOT to be missed. Tickets selling fast: Nuff said.

One of the biggest reasons why I ain't a member of social media like FB and never will be. I have a FB account, but only used it for some self employed business connections I had a few years back. Its now basically redundant. As for the SQ FB Page, I've barely ever looked at it and am blissfully unaware of the rubbish posted on it.

Ive no idea how ticket sales are going here as I've heard absolutely nothing about their upcoming tour here but by the look of that Facebook thingo it appears very desperate.

The facebook page has always had a high percentage of current Quofans who generally don't voice criticism.. hence the easier to answer any mild voices of dissent.
They would have been overwhelmed if they'd tried this when Bula Quo came out, and the old messageboard wasnt still open which was which was bombarded with a storm of criticism

One of the biggest reasons why I ain't a member of social media like FB and never will be. In defense of Social Media..... ... it's what you make of it. I don't follow any Quo groups on facebook, nor do I have hundreds of "contacts". But I do find it a great way of keeping up with what's happening in the world of a few dozen relatives/friends who live in the other parts of the world thus don't get to see/contact often through other means. I wouldn't deny that you could waste an eternity playing silly games or arguing about Bula Quo on Facebook. That doesn't make Facebook a bad thing, it simply brings out poor discipline in some users. As for the original topic of the FB group admin replying to negative threads: oh. So what? *shrugs*.

Hi All, Could it be that those within the Quo camp who keep an eye on what the fans are talking about have said we need to do something to get them on our side by answering the comments ? Either way I recon were not taken much notice of as always just ignored to do what they want as per the usual....

I can keep up with relatives in other- and in my eyes much better and safer ways. I much rather talk through skype for instance with relatives or friends then that I use facebook.

When you know the people who are demanding that comments are replied to then it does the band no favours. The image of Porter foaming at the mouth is hilarious.

As for the original topic of the FB group admin replying to negative threads: oh. So what? *shrugs*. People were born with mouths to communicate. Instead social media has become the replacement for direct person to person communication.
Test speak and abbreviations has overtaken the proper written word.
Gossip, "he said, she said" tittle tattle plus the goldfish bowl airing of private concerns in public has overtaken the conveying of what is important for the welfare of everyone to know instead
Everyone knows far too much of everything they don't need to know a thing about.
There is over opinionated froth on just about any subject you can think of. Shut up already.
There is nothing to defend social media as it has become. Its uncontrolled far beyond the benefits its supposed to provide. The more it "updates" and becomes more "sophisticated" the more I want to "regress" back to morse code....
As far as Quo is concerned, it was possible to a fan of a great rock band at one time before FB was around. It sure isn't needed now - especially with the banal bullsh1t that pervades it.
Less is definitely more...
