Having just gone through the entire ZZ Top catalogue for the first time in many years and loving them more than ever, just wondering what everyone's favourite is on here, and why? (optional) Tejas for me, some pretty interesting arrangements there.

I like their earliest stuff the best (things like Brown Sugar, Francene etc) but also a particular fan of Elminator album. Good band

For me it is hard to choose between Eliminator and Deguello. First album I heard was Eliminator but discovered Deguello later. Love that crispy guitarr sound on it. Cheap sunglasses is a favorite. This does not mean the rest is bad. Love most of these records. So if I need to choose I vote for Deguello

Must be Tres Hombres for me. By the third single off the Eliminator album, I was already bored with it. (Got Me Under Pressure still a favourite though.) But Tres Hombres has 'La Grange', a timeless masterpiece about a "cathouse": the first time I heard it I was hooked and I didn't even know it was the same band that produced Gimme All Your Lovin'.

Tres Hombres for me Eliminator was good in parts but too formulaic - for me, everything after that album became very predictable
