Dirty Water was played on Homes Under The Hammer yesterday. Caught my attention any way. Not surprised it got your attention...bit random isn't it?! Funny to think that somebody trawls through what must be hundreds of songs just to find something appropriate for a fleeting TV moment. It was a dodgy house with something wrong with the drains and as is the way on Homes Under The Hammer, Ohhhohh ohh oh the waters getting deep and I cant swim , because its dirty dirty water ...made me look up from my coffee . Fair play to whoever did research it, must have already used The Stranglers Down in the Sewer on a previous one!

Just watched it on catch up. It's played at the 12 minute mark, if you don't want to have watch the program. Only lasts a few seconds though. The BBC really go overboard with these songs to illustrate something on screen. It's the musical equivalent of the verbal pun. Groan inducing. Tabloid newspapers are the worst for puns. They'll run a trivial story just so they can tell some terrible jokes. But I'll forgive the BBC this one time, as it's the Quo. And it's an album track.
