You actually think the incredible chair spin by Rossi and Bown during Paper Plane in the McGonagall village was rehearsed....shame on you mate.

Actually gonna disagree here...
I think Spontaneous stuff is the worst way you can rate/judge a gig. I know a lot of people who do that.
If you mean just for the sake of it to freshen it up, then yeah.

Springsteen really is a bit special isn't he? Just superb. Read an interview with Little Steven. He says there is an assistant who immediately looks up the lyrics of the songs the audience wants. Then they appear on monitors. I think it's a great way of keeping gigs interesting and the band on their toes.

Static set supposed to reassure customers of regular familiar product, stage managed, precise rehearsed body language to create positive feedback behaviour loops with audience have been part of a circling back concept of modern Quo management strategy. Early idea showers and brainstorming from Quo management also produced a theme of growth hack - essentially a marketing tool that is supposed to deliver low cost innovative strategy. But what many of us on here see instead as cheesy gimmicks. Essentially fans have ended up being grouped millennially into one generation for purposes of target specificity. Another source of resentment and low common denominator.
Onboarding with this has been sole attractor to core casual customers happy with the circled back product, but such a paradigm shift from initial onset strategy has further alienated the original 70's business attractor embryo.

Status Quo and the word spontaneity doesn't match at all....
Remember when Ricks little son joined on stage...that was very nice though, planned or not.
