So for those who might not have seen them, here's the AL videos I was referring to:
This is supposed to be from 1984. Not sure the recording is, but the song was supposed to be the b side for The Wanderer. I don't know anything about the rest of them, and if these are common, sorry about that.

You could play this on Beale St. and everybody would think it was written by BB King. Yes, he-rossi- is / was underrated gtr player. But listen that link for examble. Older days he is still in a very very good shape. Accept' tour was fine!

I have all these and a couple more as FLAC files on a bootleg called 'Gaslight Demos'. If anyone would like them, let me know and i'll put them in Dropbox. I think it was 'One Of A Kind' that was pencilled in as the B-side for 'The Wanderer' at one point. Not sure if Francis plays on this one, but it doesn't sound like him, so perhaps he would have re-done the lead parts?

I can only think of two more FF rarities Rock n roll floorboards (Rick was a huge fan of Nutbush City limits!) The other is one by one, which was finally finished decades later and included as a bonus song in Fourth chord. The demo is out there somewhere. The best website for rarities is Bob Youngs site www.bobyoungticker.de/BYMUSIC.htmAlso, if there's plenty on the Live at the BBC CD's you can't easily get anywhere else

Gav - I know others disagree, but I think these had real promise as Quo tracks, had they ever gotten the chance. But I don't think that's Quo backing him. If anybody talks to AL I'd be very interested to know the story behind them.

I'd heard Floorboards before and kind of wondered 'what the hell is a rock and roll floorboard?', but it's not a bad song, really. I listen to it every now and then because like virtually every Quo song, once you've heard it you can't get the tune out of your mind. As for the Live at the BBC cd...that's a bit rich for my blood. $1200? Yikes!

Here's one that seems really obscure. Sounds is terrible.

Here's one that seems really obscure. Sounds is terrible. Was tarted up for the B-side of "Ain't Complaining" in '88. This is the original version recorded for Rossi's album "Flying Debris" with Bernie Frost, circa 1984/5. I think Pete Kircher maybe drums on this and Andy Bown is on there too (keyboards AND bass??)...

That's Alright...listen to it! A fuckin beautiful song and chord progression. And it's completely ruined by synth farts and keyboard ejaculations. Those riffs were enough... pure and simple. I long for the day that the mighty Quo realize that their talent lie in simplicity not in embellishment.

I long for the day that the mighty Quo realize that their talent lie in simplicity not in embellishment. I have to admit that I've really gotten tired of most of the keyboards in their stuff. Sometimes it's great, but mostly it's just ruinous to an otherwise good song. Let Andy play 3rd guitar if they want to keep him around, and ditch the keyboards.
