Great to hear Paper Plane & POMM without keyboards, looked like a great day out.

Wonderful. Wish I could have been there. JQ's Quo is every bit as much the true Quo as Rossi's.

I've just spotted this photo on John's fb page - photographer uncredited. It was the shot I really wanted to get also but I was too far back. Hehehe... That's my artwork on JC's Bass drum, that is!

Again from John's fb page - a lovely compilation of photos of the behind the scenes on the day by Gerard Rappard.

sounds like their audience response is greater than a Rossi Quo gig!!
And so it should be.

John Coghlan's Quo...much closer to Quo than Francis Rossi's Quo. I know which one I would prefer to see for a more authentic and real feel for the music. And JC appears to have been wrongly labelled as the 'mad turk', dark, quiet and dangerous. He is a natural frontman and warm...Rossi's dominance appears to have kept others down.

He's a top bloke full of warmth and loves a natter. I probably have more dealings with JC than others on here but it's still always an honour to speak to him, especially at a gig. I had the pleasure to chat with him backstage during the JCQ gig at Stoke last weekend and some of the stories he tells are side-splittingly funny. The two friends I took along (massive FF Quo fans) were blown away as they were unaware we had the invite to see him. I have to say that the other guys in the band (the two Rick's and Mick) are really great guys too.
