Well, so much for the end of the electrics... (See here.) The veteran rocker spoke as he and his fellow surviving band members announced that their Live and Rockin tour, starting in November, would involve electric guitars. Frosty

The words "live and rockin" are crass beyond belief in the light of Rick's death but when barrels have to be scraped Porter is at the front of the queue with a large spoon.
If they do carry on seriously into 2018 though I would really love to see an album of all new material with a mix of writing contributions and lead vocalists (Francis/Andy/Richie) to see if they still have it in them to produce something of the quality of say Heavy Traffic.

It sounds to me like the acoustic shows in November are now going to be switched to electric?
Is that what's happening?
If so, what a mess!

That would be the final nail.

That is good timing, to mention this now, a week before the (NOT) THE FINAL NIGHT OF THE ELECTRICS CD is released, but I suppose any publicity is good publicity, Mr Porter

Admin surely these type of posters should be removed from this forum....

I wouldn't want this I must say
As suggested in other threads, *if* they were to contemplate further product, two things would be required *in an ideal world*
First, the Quo title reference to be dropped. Then the product be creative and expansive beyond the usual modern day 'Status Quo' formula of Eurovision country/pop/rock 'boogie'
However, it will all remain forever hypothetical and has no chance of happening.

Just seen that. From a marketing point of view,I struggle to see the logic of releasing an album called "last night of the electrics", whilst simultaneously getting the message out that it wasn't.
