He is and he isn't. Back in the day he was... And even tunes like Sherri show off his vocal talent.. But, stuff like Restless (ffs ) show his weakness I reckon I won't get much argument if I say A Year is Rossi's greatest vocal or at least the equal of any other. Depends... It's very easy to sing but, there is almost like a "cry for help" tone to it which fits the lyrics perfectly. The harmonies in the middle sound exactly like The Beatles to me. Brilliant. Shame he's not arsed putting much effort into it these days... Or any day since 1980. Jus Supposin was the last album where he worked his bollocks off

By my calculations, he'll just be entering his early 20's right about now Innocence of youth I suppose Just trolling, ignore him. He's doing the same on the german board over and over again. Everyone's sick of him. And unfortunately he's not in his early 20s...not even in his late 20s.

Alright folks - old member of the "official" board here (pretty sure I was on another one too!)....have lurked on here but not registered as yet.....hello to any of ye I may have met in the past. Anyway....very surprised that I've seen nothing on here about this, so opening a new topic. The "new" Quo will be headlining the acoustic stage of the Glastonbury Festival this year, on the Friday night 23rd June, with Aquostic. Quite a prestigious slot. No doubt there will be varied opinions on this....mainly negative from what I've seen of this particular board (have bitten my lip on many occasions when confronted with the more hysterical opinions) I'll reserve judgement - I really like much of the Aquostic stuff...in fact I flew from Belfast to London to see them doing it at the Hammy Odeon... the lack of Rick will be the difficult part for me to swallow. However, I reckon they'll do a good job.... Their last Glastonbury show was a blinder....I felt so proud of them. www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/Phil payola...remember you from the old board(s) and also if memory serves me right supporting CQ at some stage in the Waterfront Hall. The lack of interest in the Glastonbury slot may be a result of many considering this band to beyond any interpretation of being considered to be 'Quo' and also that the strum along, unimaginative, acoustic versions of Quo songs are simply not very good...so NOT quo and NOT good = little or no interest (absolutely zero interest for myself in any case)

That's funny,Derry will shit blue lights when he reads this.Just in case it's not clear Franci Rossi's folk family showband will be playing at Glastonbury as Status Quo. Nothing Rossi does surprises me.. But fans continue to surprise me...o simply don't understand how any fan accepts what's going on....if yiu are still lurking Phil, that includes you...I just don't get it... How can anyone think quo are quo without Rick and how can you still support this. ..I genuinely don't get it

I'm not a fan of them myself, I feel a Telecaster sould be a Telecaster and a Strat should be a Strat. Not a big fan of Hybrids, though I got used to it over the years. The sound he was getting from his Tele in 84 for example was excellent.

Just watched a bit - ok bad quality and Rossi sounded like he was yodelling Break The Rules , stage rammed full of people strumming . All in all just about as far away from the cover of Piledriver as you can get.

It meant Francis and Rick felt vindicated in stabbing Alan in the back. How can anyone think Status Quo was Status Quo without Alan and John? How people bought the albums after Alan was forced out. Were people deaf ?

hearing the bit of Don't Drive My Car in the background at the end is fucking awful and bad Karaoke Quo is an understatement that accordion as well during that entire video adds a comedy value to it.
