I find QPQ overrated and bits of it are filler crap Nice. Well it's all subjective opinion isn't it? For me.. UTI, 3 tracks of HT and Quid Pro Quo are the only decent music I believe the band should have released betwen 1986 and now, as the rest(31 years) is "filler". again thats just my opinion. But, again thankyou for your opinion. Its unlike me to do short and to the point posts But I decided to do one because I can
To be a little more objective QPQ has a few very good songs e.g Dust To Gold and Frozen Hero but it suffers imo because its too one paced and there is a fair amount of filler amongst the better songs. Its not a bad album by any means, but I prefer the likes of UTI and especially ISOTFC amongst one or two other CQ albums

QPQ imo is brilliant until tracks 13 & 14 which are standard shuffle songs and could be classified as filler tracks. I'd give them 6.5/10 and the other tracks 11/10. I look at Post FF music the way I think Alan & John would judge it. Therefore, HT and 4th chord and QPQ and RTYD get 10/10 approval from me. ITAN has some 10/10 songs that Alan & John could've played on BULA QUO's Rock songs are very good, except for Rhino's vocals. I personally like the non-rock songs very much, it shows another dimension to them. I'm a rock 'n' blues Drummer that hits the kit very hard, splinters fly up and hit me in my face from the high hat. I would play hard in a Lancaster/Parfitt band and exile Rossi. I come from the Stooges/MC5/Sex Pistols/ Anti-Nowhere League school of attitude. It's all about attitude transferred to your instrument. Rock hard with tongue in cheek. "I hate people, they hate me!" I saw ANL LIVE at The TIVOLI in George ST. Sydney, they were great and very funny. I digress as usual. Some of QUO's post FF albums were soft and lightweight and didn't represent the brand and Alan & John wouldn't have played on them. Captain Obvious

I forgot about "Any way you like it" track 9 from QPQ. I always skip that Country Rock track. Francis and his love for Country music, belongs on Solo albums. When is Francis releasing his album of Everly Brothers songs?

'On the Level'. Yesterday. Can anyone resist listening to the variation and guitar solo on Little Lady?

Rossi, Frost and Williams should be exiled to a remote island as goat herders.
The production on RAOTW was atrocious and a massive disappointment after BFY.
Then came the Disco album in 1978 with IYCSTH
Ah! The undulating career of Status Quo is a rich tapestry of many different colours and different sounds, there's something there for everyone to like or love or loathe.

I played HELLO and PILEDRIVER yesterday and selected tracks this morning b4 work. Blue Eyed Lady is still one of their best songs. The intro and then build up which flows into the song is enjoyable every time. Big Fat Mama is in my TOP 10 QUO songs, another great intro. There's a GREATEST HITS CD with NOTHING AT ALL-Lancaster/Lynes/Young, THE CLOWN-Lynes/Lancaster, LITTLE MISS NOTHING-Rossi/Parfitt JOSIE & GOOD THINKING BATMAN ARE YOU GROWING TIRED OF MY LOVE- A. King An Irish friend remembers this song being a minor Hit in 1969, he's a major music buff. NEIGHBOUR,NEIGHBOUR, PARADISE FLAT, ANTIQUE ANGELINA-Young/Lancaster, LAKKY LADY-Rossi/Parfitt ICE, PICTURES,MEAN GIRL,DUSTPIPE,LAZY POKER, UMLEITUNG, SHY FLY, SOMETHING'S GOING ON IN MY HEAD,GERDUNDULA I don't know whether these were all bona fide HITS, but it's a great collection of songs, by my favourite band I played QUO LIVE 1977 at THE APOLLO GLASGOW a couple of days ago and BLUE FOR YOU, 2 of their best. Why wasn't RING OF A CHANGE released and promoted as a single in Australia?

Hi All, Still think it's a decent album than most of the 'CQ' output over the years....
