I have always liked these two. I've never had a problem with them like some people have.
They've done a great job.
Now that Rick's gone, I would have thought now would be a good time for them to bow out.
I imagine that even their detractors would hold them in higher esteem in salvaging a bit of dignity in leaving the sham that is Status Quo.
Has success, fame, greed ruined the once great Francis Rossi?

I'm confused to how this started off about Rhino and Andy... but ended about greed ruining Rossi?

Sorry! What I was getting at was that I don't know why they would want to stay in a band that has been run into the ground by Rossi. They are more established members than Leon Cave and Richie Malone, so they must have made enough money by now.
I wouldn't want to be associated with a band like CQ.

Why retire when you're earning a big sum of money

Filthy lucre.
If they enjoy what they are doing, travelling the world, earning a very good crust then I don't blame them.
Nothing has changed a founding band member died.
Life moves on, just as it should.

From a musician point of view, I don't blame them at all. Why would they quit? It's in your blood as a musician and performer to do so.
They don't have the emotional connection to it that Rick, Alan, John or some of us fans have. I'm a guitarist and as much as I fantasised about playing with Quo, I wouldn't in a million years actively try and do it on stage with them, such is my emotional and mental connection to them.
Sometimes you have to understand that to Rhino and the others, it's just a band. It's a business. It's a vehicle to drive them as individuals.
However, I don't understand Francis. He's wanted to leave the band as far back as the late 70s. He's genuinely an enigma

Hi All, Nothing wrong in carrying on with Francis, like already mentioned if they enjoy it fine if not they can still make their own music. Rhino with his band and Andy still has his own music to put on an album or write for others even guest on other artists albums the field is wide open for them...
Geoff.

The money. Why earn pennies playing with a pub band (i.e. Rhino's Revenge) when you can rake it in with Quo?

I like them both as well.
On a solo basis I enjoyed Andy's quirky solo album, even if I can't say the same for Rhino's solo style.
They have both added a lot to the band over the years. The problem hasn't been them as individuals - its been the collective decisions and choices made by CQ plc where criticism is due.
All that said, unfortunately Francis especially chose to spearhead the priority to play same set karaoke more than anyone. Sycophancy definitely stops there in my opinion.
