Hi All, A new bio-series Genius is about to start on the 23 April-9pm/21:00 National Geographic channel UK...
Description:- How did the Albert Eistein, the rebellious, young patent clerk, become the greatest scientific mind of the 20th century ?
Based on Walter Isaacson’s critically acclaimed book “Einstein: His Life and Universe”, Genius is a 10-part series, dramatising the fascinating story of the world’s most brilliant innovator – Albert Einstein. Genius will chart how an imaginative, rebellious patent clerk, who couldn’t get a teaching job or a doctorate, unlocked the mysteries of the atom and the universe.

Hi All, Gaz Looks like he was a bit of a randy old sod even before meeting Ms Munroe.... I agree better than I was expecting and directed by the Fonzies mate Ron Howard who is an excellent director.

Gaz I'll more than likely be watching Ep.2 tonight! Bit of a sad b'stard really I tend to have night's where I watch Cop shows, the next night Spy then Sci-Fi then others like Vikings/Versailles/Genius etc. etc. with the odd film thrown in every now and then usually when a series ends. My brain finds it easier to process that way...

Hi All, Gaz - Still watching has some tragedy in his life hasn't he actually still have to view Ep.5. yet, next Sundays will be have to be downloaded as the last season of 12 Monkeys is being aired over three consecutive nights for some odd reason.. doh
EDIT: Gaz watched 5 last night oh deer! His early life seems to have been filled with bad Karma at the same time he was making some of his greatest discoveries. Sad really how one of the worlds best theorists has had so many personal problems, but still enjoying the series.

Well, what a great 10 part series on Einstein. Thanks 1batfastard for the heads up on it. It really builds up for the final episodes and Geoffrey Rush's portrayal is simply superb. Einstein's legacy surrounds us to this day and beyond.

Hi All, Gaz Only to glad to share matey I just have the last episode to watch I thought Ep9 was really good showing how he clearly had ethical issues with emigrating to the US and his subsequent involvement with solving the Bomb equations, also sad about his mate who weaponised chlorine gas. The 'Nazis' where just a bunch of arseholes mildly put to their own people simply because of their religious beliefs, in particular the head of German sciences being jealous as well....
Anyway still a randy old bugger so there's plenty of hope for us ugly buggers don't tell the wife though.....

Hi All, Gaz Well it was a good series just shows that even though he reached the 'US' he was hounded because of his views by the closet gay 'Hoover' talk about being paranoid and full of self importance doh
There was no mention of his best quote either which was:- "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."
Made me laugh at times in particular his battle with his mate about quantum mechanics 'Theory vs Proof' but he obviously worked up to the point of his passing, so sad a genius that had only one flaw 'Being Human'....

Geoff. Yes,Geoff, I certainly hope that Einstein isn't correct with his quote above but with International politics beginning to boil with this current crop of world leaders(?) especially this Kim Jong Un lunatic in Nth Korea, then we may have to start collecting sticks n stones...and maybe a few of Quos not so great albums. I hope the Just Supposin album cover isn't a warning of things to come...

Hi All, Gaz I am a bit more optimistic with that sort of thing as all the major players know what would happen if this ever reached that stage. The minor irritants such as 'Mr Pillsbury' will be taken care of sooner rather than later, I half expect to hear that he has been found dead in a bath or committed suicide.
He was the 'Chinese' golden boy a while ago but even they have grown weary with him and their chastisements will end with an abrupt slap in the face with a bullet or similar as I have said.
My take on your metaphor.. Geoff.
