Facebook? Lost me there. I think in pursuing the (obvious) lost cause over the Facebook analogy to create a red herring, you may have missed the pertinent part of his post which was to correctly point out that some tribute/remark about Rick was not much to expect on the first gig after Rick has left us.
Not sure that there is anything too wrong with that personally
pertinent? Parfitt alas died,he ceases to be,but we fans will remember him. Frankly I think it's a cheap shot to berate the band for not mentioning his demise at every opportunity. As I said he won't be forgotten.

Upon reflection I reckon a minute silence with a photo of Rick in the background , before that first gig, would've been very appropriate. Maybe they thought something like that could've dampened the atmosphere of the gig but I think the crowd would've appreciated the situation.

All it needed was for Francis to say before one of Rick's songs, "this one's for Rick" or something similar. Wouldn't have needed much.
I get that life goes on and wouldn't expect him to do it at every gig on the tour, but for the first gig back I think he should have at least given a nod towards the guy who helped him maintain Quo for nearly 50 years.

Wonder what Andy Bown thought about there being no mention of Rick? At Ricks Funeral he looked devastated more then Rossi and Rhino

I think this is it in a nutshell. No-one was expecting (or has suggested contrary to some belief) that there should be an outpouring of grief.
