All of these clips look and sound simply dreadful !
Rossi's voice utterly shot too.

Sorry but, this clip leaves an awful taste in my mouth Sorry if it offends anyone but, I think that's just wrong I agree I thought he said he wouldn't do that. Agree too. Couldn't watch much of that.

I saw Quo for the last time, last year... 28th April Friend of mine took this shot of Rick. Was new on the photography scene at the time and was a big 'gig' for him.
That is not Quo but; Francis Rossi, someone who wasn't recognised as a member until 1982, and a bunch of replacements. (no disrespect to Mr. Bown of course, done some incredible work for Quo) Richie replicating Ricks stage movements/presence isn't right....

Sorry but, this clip leaves an awful taste in my mouth Sorry if it offends anyone but, I think that's just wrong I know this discussion raged during the tour last year but what do you expect the guy to do on stage? He grew up watching Rick on stage, having him as his guitar idol and also as a personal friend, in no way can what he does be judged as taking the piss. I do agree with your other point from another thread though, Rossi should have made a statement about Rick's death, he only needed to do it once at the first gig in a major way and then maybe the odd mention at subsequent gigs maybe about certain songs sounding different without their creator there to sing them. But i hope people will restrain themselves about Richie, the guy is simply doing his best in what is still a very difficult situation and I hope the band will continue to include Rick songs in the set, to let them simply fade away and die in a live setting would only make the tragedy of Rick's death greater, that his songs had died with him. I still perform songs from the original band I was in and now the singer, bassist and drummer have all passed away but I still get the thrill I used to from playing them and seeing there are people who still love those songs and sing along like they did in the 70s. Rick's death was a tragedy on so many levels for family, friends and fans alike but the only choice now is to just listen the recordings and watch the dvds of the band as they were and ignore totally what the present incarnation is doing or to accept them for what they are, not the frantic four, not the Quo of the last 30 odd years but still a good band, putting on a good show and giving people the chance to hear and live those great songs where they should be lived - in a concert hall.

I've no issue with him playing the gigs. Who wouldn't do it in his position tbf? Being able to perform is a privilege and he should enjoy it. I agree on that score The reason I find it wrong is because Rick is dead, he's mimicking Rick's moves and stances and the whole thing is carrying on as it was nothing. As a fan, I just find it completely wrong. It's somewhat disrespectful I find.

Sadly the words "disrespectful" and "Rossi" have always gone hand in hand, right back to Roy Lynes' departure.

To add to FW's point, I've heard Richie say in a radio interview that he wasn't going to copy Rick but find his own style. So to see that clip was a surprise, to say the least... And Francis has said the same too.

I found that clip macabre. I had to turn it off half way through. To watch Rick being impersonated like that (and Rossi allowing it) made me feel like barfing.

Yes it does. We can't blame Richie. If i was his age with the opportunity that he has been presented I would be Rick's incarnation down to a tee. I can't begrudge him anything. What I find hard to swallow and by no means accept is that Francis and the marketing machine carries on as if nothing has happened and that it is STILL Quo. Its not by a loooooooooooong way. Sure they entertain the casual punters and that's all it is ever going to be from now on. But the whole thing is a farce that throws shit back in the faces of old Quo fans who helped put where Francis is today and to the memory of Rick.
I am sure Alan and John and many insiders must be livid about how Francis has carried on under the Quo name. Hey, its business and I get that but this is not the right way. It is all one big joke and the end of Status Quo is unfolding in the saddest most disappointing way one could imagine.
It just could not be worse could it?

Er, yes it could be worse. Francis dies, and get replaced by Nick Rossi, and 'Status Quo' carries on... and on... and on...

During the opening notes of Caroline Rossi was already bending like a contortionist, it shows how tired he must be of playing Quo songs. Two days ago I claimed seeing (small parts of) those clips didn't do anything whatsoever. I was wrong. I am gutted by this charade.
Why can't they at least show some footage of Rick; why don't they fecking lose those ridiculous fecking white trainers.
There is no decency, no respect, let alone some work ethos in Francis left. Fuck off, old man. Those songs deserve someone better.
