What's strange is that since I've played this LLL again today, this other one has started playing in my mind. So I looked at the track listing for IYCSH and its the track before it. Isn't amazing how the old memory works.
Its cute video of Frame and Rick singing at the mic. A bit like the Eagles me thinks.
Oh, and yes, Long Legged Linda is a much better song.

The guitar break isn't bad. The rest is. Doyou think they thought they were being American?

Never been a big fan of it. Certainly not Quo's finest moment for me

Nope, Mystery Song is.
But it's better than Andy Bown's version (including the live version on the Reading Festival '73 album)

The lyrics to Long Legged Linda are no more typically corny and lounge lizard than Your Smiling Face on the very next album in 79 to, say, Belavista Man or CUOY in the modern day noughties. Don't Drive My Car is not far behind really and if you take away the blistering boogie, the lyrics to BFM are in the same vein back in 72.
That was one thing with Rick, bless him, that didn't change - and its one thing at least that tenuously connects the FF era to the CQ era.
There were a few things at least that didn't change. Rick always had a knack for cheesy and rather Sid James type lyrics quorp

It is definitely, far and away, Quo's best song that includes the words "Linda", "Legged" and "Long" in the title, without a doubt.

I couldn't find the Andy Bown version but I found this version by that well known but publicity shy friend of his Andy Brown
