Geoff. Geoff please watch Independence Day resurgence...it's fucking crap but the most expensive steamer ever.Just sit down and rip the shit out of it. Judd Hirsch spots Jeff Goldblum from at least a mile away in the desert(no heat shimmer) while driving a bus but Goldblum is standing still and has binoculars and acts all "Could it be?"

Hi All, Railroad17 I will when it's available on 'Sky' again, actually come to think of it I don't think it has ever been available to watch as part of 'Cinema' other than rent or buy ? that's the part of 'Sky' that makes me fed up with them still that's another rant....
Talking of films have you ever noticed that with digital camera footage the focus is all out around the central image ? As you look from the centre it gets worse right to the edges. I watched '100 streets' last night and it was present all through the film...

Geoff. The great western movies of John Ford would lose everything that made them great if they had been filmed on this digital stuff.Another shite film to watch is S.P.H.I.N.C.T.E.R. the latest 007 film..it's like a Littlewoods catalogue with Craig wearing clothes 1 size too small to make him look 'hench'.

Geoff. I wonder why that would happen. Maybe they reduce the resolution away from the centre to reduce the overall film size and so improve the rate that frames can be transferred down the sky dish. Is the same effect present in cinemas? Hi All, Carl I haven't the foggiest but I have noticed it on the majority of new films I have watched, could it be the auto focus ? what about not transferring to a Tv screen rather than a cinema screen it's meant to be viewed ? (Is this the data transfer you are on about ?) Whatever it is I am always looking for it now...
It's the same thing with continuity matey for the majority of Tv and film it's atrocious! It's as if like they just cannot be bothered with it ? Either that or they think the audiences are dumb along with accepting the lack of it ? Just take the new Versailles S.2 Ep1. it's a card playing scene.
( The King Louise XIV (George Blagden) is talking to the character Cassel (Philip "Pip" Torrens) is seen in several shots holding his cards which appear to be magic as they keep multiplying and disappearing yet the playing had stopped the moment the King started to talk..... )
Just the same with ties either they don't know how to tie one or just cannot be arsed to have them done up properly or even straight they always seem to be loose or crooked...
Geoff.
