My love of the music Status Quo remains undimmed, and in fact this week I have listened to them almost exclusively. I have no desire to follow the current touring band though, I have sort of disassociated them from what I think of Quo. No offence intended. I think Francis still has plenty to offer, but he needs to develop the confidence to play with musicians of his own calibrate.

No regards the music.
After Rick's death, I was in a bit of shock and couldn't fully enjoy the end of the year as I normally would. I was simply, probably like most of us, very very sad. I'd come up with this band and I guess it was like losing a favourite uncle to me in a way.
Anyway, since then, I have got over it and I'm into Quo as much as I have ever been, nothing will ever stop my enjoyment of the Quo tunes that I love, old or new, if anything I'm playing them even louder and with more pride than ever before.
The current version of Quo however, I have no interest in anymore, unless they somehow change course and blow us all away with a stunning new blues rock release, I can't see that changing anytime soon.

I have no interest in what "Quo" will do in the future, except if a tribute to Rick gig is announced... Old music of theirs I still listen to and enjoy as much as I always have

Still I'm sad, Rick's death was a much harder blow than I ever could imagine, and I am no sentimental person. The lovely tribute on Youtube is a test...... But I listen to the old stuff with pride, loud, and with a smile on my face. I try to follow discussions about the newer stuff, but the somogag has made me so cold.... sad but true. I won't go and see the CQ again, but if John and Alan makes someting, I'll try and get my sweet *ss over to ze Britons again. The banter and natter on here has helped a lot, so thank you, everyone on here! quorp All imo, of course.

Since Rick's passing I have been playing early quo constantly, not something I would normally do, but it has hit me very hard indeed. I consider myself a well balanced bloke of 56 and have been a quo fan since 1972. But I have been more affected by this than I have by losing members of my own family, very very strange. I never met Rick but saw the band almost every year and just followed at a distance everything they did whether I agreed with it or not, sometimes I questioned the decision making and most definitely did not like everything they released. For me they had an unrivalled high spot with the albums in the early to mid 70's PD, Q, H, OTL, QL, and those are the memories I find I am hanging onto. What happens to quo in the future is anybody's guess but the itinary for this year still looks very busy. I think if Rick had actually got to publish his book that would have opened a big can of worms so perhaps it's best left as it is and leave the memories as they are.

I have listened to all of Quo a bit more.
I have to admit I never bought any albums since Perfect Remedy. So listening on YouTube to songs like Bella vista Man has been interesting.
I realise how lucky I was to see the FF twice and CQ three times.
I just don't understand how Rossi can continue Quo without Rick.
I could accept the post '85 lineup because there were a respectable number of members from the Live! Album and RAOTW.
Status Quo without Rick is a joke.
Well done Rossi you've destroyed what you created.....😡

Apart from Quo I listen to the Stones, Beatles, Queen, the Who, Beach Boys, AC/DC and many more.....common thread? They all have had main members die and apart from the Beatles the other bands still exist in some capacity with varying degrees of success. The public gets over it - I never thought Queen could do shows without Freddie and the current AC/DC just seems bizarre.
I listen to music when the mood takes me and I take each day and record as it comes. If I have had a Quo free period I might put on "Heavy Traffic" not "Piledriver" - whatever I want. I have no time for "Rick's dead, no more Quo for me" - that is not what he would have wanted and sounds childish. The music is a legacy and lives on.
I will see Quo in Sydney later this year and I will be the sole judge as to whether I like it or not.

I totally agree with The Quomaster. My selection of music is based on mood. My taste in music is eclectic. I got my ticket to the Sydney gig last week. Of course Rick would want us to go to the gigs.

In reply to The Madturk, we all have our opinions on when QUO stopped being QUO. Francis has systematically dismantled QUO since John left in 1981. Google Alan's candid interview on Australia's Studio 10 TV show, I think it was from 2016. Lancaster was the backbone of QUO. I still love 99% of post 1984 material. Though in my opinion Francis is a very serious, grumpy person who has to control QUO to the detriment of John and Alan. Luckily, I saw The Frantic Four in 1978 at The Hordern Pavilion, Sydney. As I've mentioned in previous Posts I've seen Alan and John play in Sydney in The Lancaster Bombers and The Lancaster/Brewster Band.

Certainly have zero interest in Rossi's so called Quo. Its all getting ridiculous now. It was bad before but to carry on like this with one original member is a farse and does nothing for Quo's legacy. Its even worse that that the one member still performing under the Quo banner is the one that actually hates the Quo sound!!
Anyway, that's my opinion.
So...couldn't care less about what happens now. Rick is no more. Quo is no more. BUT....the old, real Quo music lives on and I will listen to that forever. Can't take away the fact that Quo were the soundtrack to, not just my youth, but a huge chunk of my entire life.
Poor Rick. I still find it hard to take in that he is no more.

Hi All, Still listen to quo albums mainly FF but the rest as well when the mood takes me, but like many the passing of Rick was the full stop after the SATUS QUO.
Geoff.
