This is only my opinion but for me (Ignoring covers albums) UTI, Heavy Traffic, TPAOY, ISOTFC, QPQ. Are as good a run of albums as RAOTW, IYCSTH, WYW, JS, NTL. They were never going to top the FF era albums that's for sure. I think most long term bands have a top class run, a pretty good one. A very dull one and finally a rebirth one. Personally, I love the 4th chord album....One of my favourites. However, I disagree. Massively! A list of albums that consist of Hard Time, CGYM, DW, HYB, Who Am I, RR, AAA, SSMH, AP, Shady Lady, Who Asked You, Living On An Island, Runaway, High Flyer, Breaking Away, DDMC, Lies, Over The Edge, The Wild Ones, Name Of The Game, RnR, Coming and Going, Take Me away, Mountain Lady, Riverside, a blistering cover of Carol, a monster single in WYP and two anthems in WYW and RAOTW, is better than HT, Party, 4th and QPQ They were good but, didn't have those moments of quality...Party is a 4/10 album for me and QPQ and HT lose any momentum half way through them

Though I criticised HT as an album in some respects, there is no doubting the attitude around the release of HT. In that sense I very much welcome then taking a leaf out of the original bands book and dropping the holiday park entertainment for playing rock music properly instead.
As said previously in this thread, I'd hoped that the FF reunions would spark another attitude resurgence on and off the stage from CQ similar to that around the HT period.
There had been a flicker in 2009 when they played Glastonbury and dropped the play acting to send a message to the large crowd and other acts present at the festival.
However, a long overdue emphatic stark comparison contrast was suddenly opened up in the wake of the FF reunions, and unfortunately the exact opposite happened to the HT era and CQ slipped further in the final couple of years or so to the point that they were not only parodying the original, but themselves also.

Matt leaving and Bula (just the film as the soundtrack has some good moments) was part of the problem here plus trying to fit to much touring in. Then we had Rick's health problems again it spiralled that's all.

I didn't understand what all the fuss was about when HT came out and I still don't get it now...

HT was so much better than anything since Never Too Late that I got interested again after the wilderness years. I even saw a gig on the tour and enjoyed it. For nostalgic reasons. (Are you reading this, Francis?) I enjoyed it but didn't feel the rush as it wasn't Quo in my book. They were good, not outstanding, and so was the album.
The rush came back in 2014.

Can Curious Girl move this album post to the right category? She moved IFYCSTH AND QUO, why hasn't HT been moved? I would, but don't know how to do it.

Gentleman Joe likes "Never Say Never" which is a track I skip on HT. CUOY is a personal fave of mine. Diggin' Burt Bacharach is 'way good' also. In fact I love this album except for NSN. Record company execs tend to choose fairly naff songs as singles for QUO over the decades. Yes, I know there is a thread/post for suggesting which album tracks would've been good as singles " Blue Eyed Lady "
