Him telling his most recent wife to "get out while you can" is haunting. I wonder if Rick knew that Francis had said this... could explain them not getting on of late. Even if I knew I was the worst husband in the world, I wouldn't appreciate anyone telling my wife to get out. I think by that time Rick would be surprised if Francis didn't say something like that ... Not kidding. Too bad. Blokes don't always hang together just because they are blokes and have known each other a long time. I mean, AFAE, Rick more or less said it himself in This Is Me. There are some things you just can't fudge ...

I agree Colin. Was out running and Sign of the Cross came up on my iPod.Made me think how more mature Maiden sounded with Blaze, though I do like Bruce's air raid siren vocals Cheers Blaze was a good singer, however he had a problem with singing the older songs. His voice was just not suited to tracks like The Trooper. Sadly these tracks had to be played live and that lost some fans. Yea true...but Blaze did fine on the albums he was on which imo are underappreciated. I have always liked those two albums.

It's the same with Ronnie Dio singing Ozzy Sabbath tunes. Didn't really work for me, he was fantastic on Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules though.

Yep, same for me again...love the three Dio albums with Sabbath (there's Dehumanizer too) but indeed didn't work on the Ozzy songs

Though having to singing Ozzy songs was not Dio's fault. Turning it on it's head Graham Bonnet and Joe Lynn Turner could not really sing Dio Rainbow songs.

Seeing as they will be touring for this year at least as others have stated already they seriously need to change the setlist drop the songs which had Rick on Vocals because hearing Rhino singing and ruining them is embarrassing and utter shite yes i know songs like WYW Rain etc are expected to be played but with Rick not there anymore no need to play those songs with awful vocals by a prat on bass.

Never saw or listened to Maiden with Blaze. I did catch an early Wolfsbane gig with Blaze around 1990, it was very spinal tap as the speakers caught fire and the band didn't notice. I was one of about 20 punters, and it seemed that there weren't enough of us to alert the band to the crises behind them!
He was a good frontman

I think that's one reason they took him on. But the whole Maiden gig was just a bit much for him, as well as being basically in the wrong key. He can be great when he's in the groove.

Favourite Quo Album: Hello!

No, cause to me it ain't Quo anymore, it doesn't bother me at all. And you know what? It really hurts me to write sth. like that about my beloved favourite band. Quo died on Christmas Eve. The only thing I'm interested in is the tribute event to Rick and I really hope they don't fuck this one up. I'm sure they will, but there's still hope.

Sad, but one half of my heart went "that's nice" and the other half went, "It's a plug."
But they must do something, though. It might as well be in Dubai.
