That's it for me, game over. The band that I worshipped died with Rick as far as I'm concerned. I have no interest in what Rossi does/doesn't do with 'it' or the name. I won't be adding to his retirement fund that's for deffo.

For me, 81 was the end. Frame just watched the band slowly crumble and did absolutely fuck all when John had enough. None of them did come to think of it.
Rossi continued to tarnish the name for years, shafting his oldest fucking friend for some fucking lanky prat who makes a dick of himself more than he plays bass. Rick was too out of it to have the slightest fucking clue what was going on and probably agreed to continue Quo for two reasons:
1. He loved playing in front of people and that's all he knew to do in life. 2. He was broke. All the money he made was spent on cars, drink, women and drugs- he was the living definition of Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll.
Fast forward 25 or so years and we have the reunion. This is where I'm honestly not sure. It has been told this got Rick heavy on the drink again, and there is in a way proof of this. There's a video of them on Kerrang from 2014, shortly after the end of the second FF tour and he's 110% pished out of his face. He's never appeared in interview in this sort of state since the 80s.
Also, as far as I can tell Rossi done absolutely fuck all to help, and wether the tabloids are right or not, him telling his most recent wife to "get out while you can" is haunting. There's also the question as to wether Rick would of continued this either way- if the FF kept going or if it didn't. Some people tried to make up some shite that Rossi stopped the FF in 2014 in aid of Rick. Bullshite. Rossi stopped because he didn't like the fact he and everyone else was enjoying it, so slagged off the whole band and ended it. He gurned about Spuds poor drumming (he's the oldest in the band fuck sake, he was 68/69 back then), and mocked Alan because of his frailness due to his illness. Alan didn't have to come over from the other fucking side of the world to stand up there with the lanky, smarmy prick who fucked him off in the 80s. He didn't have to stand up there, barely able to move because of his illness, but he fucking did bless his heart. He stood up there for the fans playing and singing the songs he performed many years ago, he loved it, we loved it.
So, the last year or so. I don't know what happened between Rossi and Parfitt. Things were rough. Rossi seemed to just completely block Parfitt out, no acknowledgement whatsoever, after Turkey. He ruined the band even more and disrespected all past members by continuing the electric tour on his own well into 2017, with little demand.
He should be ashamed.

The only thing I am interested in, is whether there will be a tribute event for Rick. Outside of that my interest is so low, I don't even know why I come on here anymore.. Maybe to come vent your frustration about everything which you did more then once ? After all, who else can you vent that frustration to besides other quofans ? LOL ! But seriously... I do understand the disappointment ... however, whether Quo disappoints me or not, I will still keep coming around for the simple reason that through the years many good contacts have been built and I wouldn't wanna lose that...Quo might change...doesn't mean the contact with other fans has to...yea for some who ONLY talk about Quo it may be difficult cos after all it's not a shadow of what it used to be...but I think most people's world's are a bit bigger then just Quo.

We could argue about other bands instead. I am sure we would all disagree on the direction of many bands

It's option 3 but for me it's not that Rick is no more that is the problem. It's been the static set list for a long time, Personally I do not like the run of ROLD/DD/WYW/RAOTW. For me these songs should have been mixed up more. Then the Encore is also poor, CUOY and TO NEED to be removed and the newer Medley's do not work. JCQ do put on a better range of material from the 70s. However I do like the later 00s albums and there should have been more varied songs from these. Album wise I am a big fan of the Shuffle so songs with that are my favorite. I like the heavy stuff but for me a good Quo song has to have a good Riff and a decent solo. With the Rhythm keeping the whole thing driving. Would I see them again yes if the set was completely overhauled and someone who could do justice to Rick's vocals was in the band. Rhino does not really have the voice Andy is kind of OK on WYW, don't know if Richie sings. Much of this has always been my moan.
On that basis, quite ambivalent about the future - the main interest will be side projects, and any released footage of yesteryear.

I kept getting the thought of 'nothing is very much fun anymore' running round my head. Very depressed! Maybe not as violently as Pink felt but certainly the feeling of loss was overwhelming (but it is not a good time of year for me anyway). But we do have the music, videos and memories to discuss and the shared feeling at tribute concerts to look forward to.

Francis should have just told the absolute truth about the FF. Told it how it was. Mainly Rick was out of his face again with the drink and wouldn't get through another tour. He wouldn't want Rick dying on stage on his conscience. I think that was Francis big fear ! And it nearly happened in bloody Turkey of all places ! The rest was just Francis covering it up and not putting the focus on Ricks situation IMO.

I agree Colin. Was out running and Sign of the Cross came up on my iPod.Made me think how more mature Maiden sounded with Blaze, though I do like Bruce's air raid siren vocals Cheers

Him telling his most recent wife to "get out while you can" is haunting. I wonder if Rick knew that Francis had said this... could explain them not getting on of late. Even if I knew I was the worst husband in the world, I wouldn't appreciate anyone telling my wife to get out.

His voice was just not suited to tracks like The Trooper. Sadly these tracks had to be played live and that lost some fans.
