Just had a listen to it there on YT.
Shites all over the original, playing wise and production wise. You can actually hear the guitars clearly.
It's the first track on this for anyone who ain't heard it.

1982 - the death album that followed such a great album ! They just had nothing left imo ! just think..... the QUO album 1974 to 8 years later.. frightening difference ! It puts things into perspective !

Shite. Why anybody rates JS and NTL is a feckin mystery to me. I can only assume these folk are youngsters and these were the first Quo albums they heard. There's no other sensible reason. You could be right. I like them both (but not a patch on the earlier stuff) and was a youngster when they came out. Used to like Mountain Lady but think it's pretty mediocre now. This version is better though.

Naw I just have a broad interest in music unlike the narrowmindedness of yourself. Bear in mind, not as broad as 1982 and all the pish that followed.

I suppose it's how you get into the band to what you like or dislike. I got into the band in 85 and though I had the 12 Gold Bars albums and eventually the ITAN and AC albums. I liked all of them it was not until around 91 that I actively sought out the early Vertigo stuff. So while I know now that is the best era and the music I like from them the most. I cannot give up liking the later stuff as I really liked that as a child.

If you like it, fair enough. I couldn't care less. Knock yerself out. Just remember this though......it's shite. Awk I didn't mean to upset ye. Perhaps this'll cheer ye up...

In the context of post Live! releases, I really like Just Supposin' but Never Too Late sounds to me like the left-overs it apparently was. I struggle to decide between Never Too Late & If You can't Stand The Heat for the worst album '77-'81. It's a great shame they didn't take a year or two out, if only from recording.

Can't stand the song. But its all matter of taste. It sounds like something else by somebody else and that song is The Bitch is Back by Elton John.Once I'd thought that, the song was doomed.

D'you reckon you can make a ten track album from JS to BTB tracks Dennis? I'll allow your choices to be produced the old fashioned way...can't be any fairer.

My feelings exactly about JS and NTL, but IYCSTH is definitely out of order for me. Apart from Accident Prone. I like Mountain Lady well enough but don't understand why some folk love it. They do, though. PS Great lyric. Life would be boring if we all loved exactly the same thing. Plus, not enough ice creams to go around.
