I have just seen advertised on Channel 4 a new film called Gold starring Matthew McConaughey. It has a rather rocked up version of Pictures Of Matchstick Men as it's background music. This is not the first time this song has been used in a Hollywood film as it was used in Men In Black 3.

Are you sure it's not the redux of Barbed Wire starring Susan Boyle.

I noticed it the other day... must have recently been added to the trailer cause it's different songs on the Youtube versions

Hi All, I went through 24 pages of POMM the closest I got to the opening chords was with O-Negative but the track is to slow like a cross between Sabbath and Quo.... The music score to the film is written by Daniel Pemberton and is released on 27/01. It also seems that different countries have different tracks accompanying the trailers.

POMM is also played in the HBO series Vinyl, there is also discussion about the dropping of Status Quo from the fictional American Century label.
