This week , 14th January 1973, Status Quo entered the UK Top 40 album charts for the first time, as Piledriver entered at #23 to rise a few weeks later to it's highest position #5. As I've mentioned before, the live pictures from this album were taken at my first Quo concert, The Harlow Playhouse, in Essex on 5th February 1972. Also this week in 1973, Paper Plane had risen 16 positions from last week's #40 to this week's #24 and would be in the top 10 in a couple of weeks.

Crikey! I'd never previously realised that before - Paper Plane didn't chart until January '73 after it was released back in June '72! Piledriver not charting until a month after it's release is a little less surprising, I suppose.
