but in an interview JC said the work he and Alan were doing with Rick was going to be called Status Quo PLC. Apparently Rick had already laid down the guitar tracks for two songs and AL has done the bass, it only remains for him to add the drums. They plan to release those two songs as a tribute to Rick.
Also that AL is going to Minehead in October, and Rick had committed to come too, along with him, JC.

It's great news
One of the things that selfishly gutted me was the thought of nothing to look forward to anymore. I can't wait to hear these songs.
Beyond that.. does Rick have some recorded riffs and ideas the others could work on? We can dream

Keith Richards did a song called '999' on his 'Main Offender' album. Any good? ;-)

Was 999 ever actually released anywhere? Fairly certain it wasn't I can't remember the song It was on youtube for quite a while. I should have downloaded it while I had the chance but didn't. I really liked it, a good Quo-ish rocker. I also like the other tracks I've heard from Recorded Delivery, even though they are closer to the pop side. Rick could write that stuff when he wanted to.
