God forbid they do the RP hologram! Cynical as I am, and with the "knowledge" of how the management reasons, the cost of a cardboard picture left in the storage room from the "Don't Stop" sessions will be enough.... I shouldn't....

I saw them in Liverpool for probably the last time. I also saw Stated Quo in the Cavern earlier in the day. Enjoyed the Cavern gig far better. So it's the tribute bands for me now. And there's the convention to look forward to. A great shame about Rick, because he was lined up for that. Sad.

For me, after seeing Quo from 1972-2015, I will also be looking forward to Mindhead '17 and from now on, I'll only put my self out to see John Coghlans Quo, the excellent Stated Quo and any other good tribute bands, rather then the Francis Rossi's Quo.

I'll follow until Francis calls it quits I think. Plus I see Spud a couple of times a year as well.

Francis will continue as 'Status Quo' until he decides to retire. He won't do anything solo under his own name or with the current lineup as 'Francis Rossi's Status Quo'. That's my prediction.

Bet your bottom dollar they/Rossi will continue... not my cup of tea anymore but each to their own, as long as CQ/ Porter or anyone else doesn't try turn Ricks passing into an excuse for another gimmick they can do whatever they like in my eyes.!! We'll never see the likes of Quo and Rick Parfitt again.. Rock on Rick.. As long as they do it under a different name, they can continue as much as they want. But Status Quo died the second Rick passed away and no one will ever be able to replace Rick. I'd not be fussed at all if Francis, Andy, and Rhino continued with 2 others under the name of Status Quo. Those 3 have been in the band for around a combined 120 years.

I wonder what the album of hit singles will be called this year?
And every release have also have a recording of RAOTW and WYW on it, live or otherwise. Maybe Caroline too.

It's JCQ gigs for me - hope he does one near Manc! 🤞 I was lucky enough to go to the Freddie Mercury tribute show at Wembley so a tribute show befitting to Rick would be very welcome.

Without sounding like "a lemon!", I personally haven't played any Quo (in the privacy of my home),since the announcement that RP wasn't going to do the UK tour, - 1st time I've not gone to at least 2 gigs since '84. Ordered the bundle of the 4 LHN gigs but didn't cancel 'em, as I thought sod it, ill give 'em a listen at some point when Ricks well & back in the fold... they're still in the cases, can't see me ever playin 'em...

They probably will continue as SQ, and the official line will be "in Rick's memory, it's what he would have wanted."
Remember, they've suprised us so many times in recent years.

Well they can call themselves what they want, but be in no doubt that without Rick Parfitt its not Status Quo.

I think current Quo will continue as planned in 2017, then I think Rossi has a choice.
My preference since the reunions in 2013/14 has been for that version of the band plus Andy Bown to see out the years as Status Quo, recording new stuff and doing a small tour every year or every other year. All members having the freedom to go and do any solo projects they wish outside of this.
As sad and truly horrid that Rick's death is, this would still be my preference for Status Quo in 2018 onward. Alan, Francis, John, Andy Bown and the best rhythm guitarist they can find playing classic Quo and recording new stuff if they have any material they think good enough.
Rossi free to do solo stuff outside of this as Francis Rossi with female singers, Rhino on bass, Andy Bown, Leon Cave etc.
Probably won't happen and I respect some won't want Quo to continue in any form now Rick's gone, but for me I'd support Alan, Francis, John and Andy Bown as Quo.

That just made me realise how likely Porter will use this opportunity to fill his greedy pockets again with a "Rick Parfitt Tribute Tour".
