After reading it you just realise how close Rick was to deaths door. A couple of very fortunate circumstances are the reason he's still with us.

Very interesting and honest log, good to see him putting virtual pen to virtual paper again!

Might have been nice to start with the bit about what happened to Rick rather than having a right old pop at those who think 'Rick walks on water', and how good a drummer Leon has become.
Maybe it's just me....

Goes to show he hasn't the first clue about what made Quo what it was.
He might not walk on water, John....But, he was a vital cog in the band, he was the only remaining element of the sound post 1986, he's written and arranged many classics and he was the best singer in the band
"Oh I don't read any of that bile and hatred." And then proceeds to have a pop at those who vent their frustrations and opinions, which aren't positive

Maybe it's just me.... I guess working with Rick for 30 years or so may make one rather blasé but for many fans he means so much more. I wouldn't say 'walk on water' but rather as the one who has stayed true to what a lot see as memories of Quo from the 70s era. Rick Parfitt was Quos dynamic.

Anyway, lucky he's still here by all accounts.

I'm not sure we'll see many more of these tourlogs.
Makes it feel like hard work. Seemed very downbeat. And there's not much warmth towards the fans.
Its not much to say to cover a year. Disappointing.

A strange, contrary, and bitter piece of writing

Last one? Thank f**k. Utter drivel anyway. "some people, who have NO idea what is going on in Status Quo". Eh, doesn't matter a jot if we don't, Cletus. There have been press statements full of contradictions and inaccuracies. Tell Chubbs to at least get his story straight. Or is he too busy stuffing his face with kebabs? Lunch with Mr and Mrs Smith? On top of everything, s**t albums, s**t promotion, s**t setlists, s**t "singing" (you know whose fault that is ). Rather be a weirdo than a slack-jawed yokel wino. P.S. Managed to get a photo of you out taking photos.

It may come across as being bitter but can you blame him in all fairness, I'm talking about the amount of abuse he has received on various message boards over the years, some of that must be hard to take, as for his account of what happened I would believe every word he has said over others and mainly those of Francis Rossi whom always seem to talk shit, remember when Rossi said it was Rhino who put his fingers across his throat and this place slated Rhino for it, somehow I'm guessing Rossi got that one wrong

Yes, good to get what sounds like a clearer picture of the night Rick nearly died.
He's bitter about fan reaction from the opening paragraph, so I guess we're lucky to learn what we did. Sounds like comments on fb are as bad as those on mbs though.

Reading this tour log makes me doubt even more that Rhino is Swisscheese, his style or writing is pretty basic and the clever humour just isn't there, I've suspected more and more that Swisscheese is a certain Mr. Bown, who as those who've met him over the years can testify, is erudite and has a sense of humour as dry as the Sahara.

In another thread, 4th did say that Swisscheese has the same IP address as another member so he's either one of us or, if you are correct, Andy is on here as Swisscheese and as some other name. I tend to think it's just one of us having a bit of fun.
