Not posted for a while but struggling to connect with the band at present...lost a bit of interest to be honest.
Rick not playing is such a big factor for me.
There have been some good positive posts about gigs in Europe and some folk seem happy to follow the band at this time with no problems.
Perhaps this has something to do with when you got into the band.
If you started your journey with the band after 1986 you will have followed them over the years with just the changes to the drrum kit area...so maybe Rick not being there is balanced by the presence of FR and Rhino plus AB?
If you started your journey back in the seventies or before you have lost AL,JC and now seemingly RP..it is just far more to take in...and now too far from the original.
The band are just far too diluted for me now.
I understand now when people say the band for them ended when JC left or when both AL and JC had gone.... For me I was much younger and happy to continue and see the band and buy the product up until recently.
Bula, Aquostic and now the loss of Rick how do folk retain their interest.
Perhaps FR is right that it is all about living in the past and he does not want to...but when you have had the taster of those 2013 and 2014 FF gigs it just shows up the contrast not the past and I would take the past any day on that basis.
The Last of the Electrics continuing as a selection of dates into 2017, the current set not changing to give another angle and the continuation of Aquosic combined with no likely chance of seeing Rick on stage with the band just leaves me feeling weary.
Just filling in time before heading out to face the shops with the boy in search of a new winter school coat....not easy to suit the street cred teenager.
Peace and love to all as we move forward with Quo and good luck to those that can at the moment.
