Favourite Quo Album: On The Level

Is it just me or is anyone else really starting to dislike some of the "Quo" fanbase, in fact a large majority. Lovers of panto Quo saying those that don't like what Rossi and co are doing right now aren't real fans, but also have to write a paragraph on why they're a real fan. Someone over on Facebook just tried to say that Rhino's bass playing wasn't average and is better than Alan's I honestly just want to give it up, it's boring these days. Equally boring from both sides of the fence.

Might want to do some research there young fella, before you start throwing shit that doesn't stick.. I never saw Quo in the 70s.. In fact, I wasn't born until 1988.. I only ever saw Rossi's Quo... Until I saw the real Quo in 2013 and 2014... They shat all over Rossi's Quo... I also never saw AC/DC in the 70s... But I saw them 4 times over the last 16 years though... Their classic BIB line up still kicked ass.... Not really sure what point you're trying to make but, whatever it is, I've just picked it apart. As for Rhino....Hard to say really. Loved him for the gigs he done for me etc Don't like his behaviour, mannerisms, playing etc Does etc equal 'singing'?

It may not be as good as when Rick is there but good on Rhino for stepping up and giving it all he's got. He deserves much more respect from fans than what he gets. It may not be the Quo you all saw in the 70s but are ACDC, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Whitesnake ect what they were in the 70s/80s? At least the other bands have, without exception IMO, stayed true to their original style. Yes, they've had a few lineup changes but, at least in the case of Def Leppard and AC/DC, most have been due to circumstances beyond their control... death, alcoholisim, other illness etc. Only one member (Rick) has parted company with Quo under one of these circumstances and it doesn't appear to have been on the best of terms.

He slags off fans. He acts like a clown on stage. Why bother playing Rick songs at all? If Rhino is going to sing, let him butcher his own songs. Or, better yet, get the real bass player back and let him sing his songs. And while you're at it get the real drummer, too. And before I'm accused of wanting to turn back the clock to the 70's, I'd never heard of this band until 2014.

I'm with you there on point one (though whether they should have let him is another matter ) I'm with Willy elsewise - those big bands have changed somewhat, but they are still essentially the same bands. Quo of course are now (musically) the same band they were in the 60s But without the silly jackets and the hair. And some good legacy stuff from the 70s. Iron Maiden are of course even better than they were in the 80s. (ducks)

Nope it isn't. There are many others. What about that song by Sting - Every breath You Take, is actually meant to be creepy, against his first wife. But its played at so many weddings, I gather. Not a fan of it either cos I detected that anger in it. Truly! And it seems to be true what they say, a lot of people don't hear anything beyond the hook line. They play She Moved Through the Fair at weddings, too, and call it "Wedding Day." Arrgh!

Someone Like You by Adele also fits into that category, I guess. So it does! "Hello" by Adele is one of the stalker songs of all time. Why does she sing stalker songs? She doesn't seem the kind!
