It's quite interesting though....There are people who really liked it and there is a trend....They all appear to be middle aged housewives...Maybe this band are becoming the housewife's choice? Must have been young girls then when they first heard Quo. Girls do seem to grow up.

"It's quite interesting though....There are people who really liked it and there is a trend....They all appear to be middle aged housewives...Maybe this band are becoming the housewife's choice?" I didnt really like it although I did LIKE it ;-) you gotta remember that us middle aged (and in my case older ) housewives were the 17 year olds who followed and loved quo in the 70's. Like quo we have erm....matured and are not as perhaps as "manic" about music as we used to be. It seems to be that many of the posters who hate quo today are far more into heavy metal and hard rock bands so they cannot accept that quo have changed ...macho image springs to mind letsrock . I loved the reunion gigs but after seeing how frail Alan was I personally could never see him being able to do many more dates so to me that was the end of that story...no point in wanting something that wasnt posssible, and to be honest I dont know how the moaners think Alan could possibly do it. Obviousy I dont know Alan and am basing my opinions on what I saw. Like some others I also thought that as they were standing and jumping about tonight they could have just done an electric set. So was it Rick who was having the most trouble with that, especially now we know about his latest heath scare? Was he showng signs of this at the first aquostics and that is why they sat? Perhaps or perhaps not and they just were not sure how to play it. . Who knows??? PS I am a Rick fan so no nonsense about "Freddie lovers" in any replies

PS I am a Rick fan so no nonsense about "Freddie lovers" in any replies That's where you're wrong unfortunately I don't like heavy metal, nor am I big fan of massive heavy rock (Iron Maiden, Motorhead) I do however love good music and to my ears, this isn't good music. That's the problem. If you try hard enough, you can make even Bohemian Rhapsody into a shit song. That's what this line up is doing to so many classics

I haven't seen it yet... but now home, catching up online and spotted that someone I know who was at Hyde Park posted - "I've just found out I like Status Quo." So, yes, as if we didn't know, they are looking for another type of audience and its working.

DerryQuo, for example, goes and sees the likes of U2 and they are anything but heavy rock. If the music was good, to most, they wouldn't really care. I'm disappointed. Had such high hopes for this acoustic project but alas

If the music was good, to most, they wouldn't really care. But who has the right to tell anyone else what music is good??? I pesonally hate U2....maybe a bit harsh. I hate Bono . But I dont ridicule people who do like him. (I like the joshua tree but havent really heard much more of their music) One persons good music is another persons hate. For instance a few people thought madness were great tonight . I thought they were awful.Who is wrong? no one! its simply taste.

Gonna have to help me out here....I don't recall telling people not to buy it or listen to it. If you wanna buy the album or listen to it or whatever, go ahead. Nothing to do with me. Personally, I think it's bag of shite, just like you think U2 are muck.

I thought Francis might of sent his best wishes to Rick, but that was probably asking for too much. I thought that as well.Johnnie Walker wished rick a speedy recovery just before they came on yet Francis couldn't be arsed to mention "his best pal". Maybe reading too much in to it but Rossi seems to be revelling in this new setup despite the fact his voice is shot having to carry all the vocals. I have escaped that Ricky in my ears?

My comment (as the only person to actually be at the gig from what I've read here), a very polished Quo performance. Same set as Union Chapel, good reaction from the neutrals from my spot up front, great chance to appeal to a wider audience. Didn't hear the negative comments some have posted here. Very enjoyable set, but Union Chapel was a better experience for me in the intimate venue compared to the sold out 62000 in Hyde Park.

Personally, I think it's bag of shite, just like you think U2 are muck. OK. U have me confused now. I dont recall saying that you HAD told people not to buy or listen to it. You have also managed to interpret my comment about U2 IE " I like the Joshua tree" to your version IE "I think U2 are muck". How did that one happen?
