Hi All, Watched the rather good 'Cpt'n America Civil War' via (Sky Cinema) despite being 'SFX' laden as most of the genre are, you can really get in to the characters all through the film and a must for any 'Marvel/Sci-Fi/Fantasy' fan I really enjoyed this film and while being just under 2&1/2Hrs long the film actually passes quite quickly with the viewer.....
Starring:-Chris Evans,Robert Downey Jr.,Scarlett Johansson,Sebastian Stan,Anthony Mackie,Don Cheadle,Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman,Paul Bettany,Elizabeth Olsen,Paul Rudd,Emily VanCamp,Tom Holland,Frank Grillo,William Hurt and Daniel Brühl.
Political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability when the actions of the Avengers lead to collateral damage. The new status quo deeply divides members of the team. Captain America (Chris Evans) believes superheroes should remain free to defend humanity without government interference. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) sharply disagrees and supports oversight. As the debate escalates into an all-out feud, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and, Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) must pick a side.

Hi All, I watched the low budget 'Frankenstein (2015)' via (Sky Cinema) An alternative viewpoint of the 'Mary Shelly' classic tale seen through the monsters eyes and narration, has a couple of gory scenes but overall just different and only watch if you are a Horror fan even then it may be to slow I enjoyed it for what it was.....
Starring:-Xavier Samuel,Carrie-Anne Moss,Danny Huston,Tony Todd,Maya Erskine,Mckenna Grace,Matthew Jacobs,Jeff Hilliard, Jorge Luis Pallo,Ron Roggé,Rob Mars,Mary Gallagher and John Lacy as Mark Rubin.
Frankenstein is a 2015 updated adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, directed by Bernard Rose. The film is told from the monster's point of view as he is created, escapes into the modern world and learns about the dark side of humanity.

Hi All, I watched the 'The Revenant' last night via (Sky News) and although an excellent enjoyable view, one odd thing stands out a mile or at least it does IMO and that is the very quick recovery of a the main characters broken ankle after the bear attack and subsequent rescue. Still on the whole a great view with a role for Tom Hardy as a complete 5hit, plus he had another of the Peaky Blinders actors helping him and the cast along....
Starring:-Leonardo DiCaprio,Tom Hardy,Domhnall Gleeson,Will Poulter,Forrest Goodluck,Duane Howard,Arthur Redcloud, Melaw Nakehk'o,Grace Dove,Lukas Haas,Paul Anderson,Kristoffer Joner,Joshua Burge,Fabrice Adde,Isaiah Tootoosis, Brendan Fletcher,Brad Carter and Tyson Wood.
While exploring the uncharted wilderness in 1823, frontiersman Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) sustains life-threatening injuries from a brutal bear attack. When a member (Tom Hardy) of his hunting team kills his young son (Forrest Goodluck) and leaves him for dead, Glass must utilize his survival skills to find a way back to civilization. Grief-stricken and fueled by vengeance, the legendary fur trapper treks through the snowy terrain to track down the man who betrayed him.

Hi All, @davyno Last night I Watched the low budget comedy via (Sky Cinema) the quite funny 'Moonwalkers' I enjoyed this film that pokes fun at the conspiracy surrounding the 'Apollo 11 Moon Landings ' along with all the late 60's clichés of the time. I also think it had other film references (i.e. Man painted Blue wearing a tartan skirt ?) in it as well poking fun at them ? but was probably just me and my warped sense of humour.....
Ron Perlman as the Psychotic/Damaged CIA agent is a cracker of a roll for him and he carries it off well, especially the scene where he tells the junkie Kuberic impersonator that "drugs have no effect on him as the CIA trained them to withstand their effects" and what follows is quite funny IMHO....
Starring:-Ron Perlman,Rupert Grint,Robert Sheehan,Eric Lampaert,Tom Audenaert,Kerry Shale,John Flanders,Andrew Blumenthal, Jay Benedict,Kevin Bishop,James Cosmo,Stephen Campbell Moore and Erika Sainte.
What if Apollo 11 never actually made it? What if, in reality, Stanley Kubrick secretly shot the famous images of the moon landing in a studio, working for the US administration? This is the premise of a totally plausible conspiracy theory that takes us to swinging sixties London, where a stubborn CIA agent will never find Kubrick but instead is forced to team up with a lousy manager of a seedy rock band to develop the biggest con of all time, in this riotous, high-tempo action-comedy. (Above by Reece Davies and courtesy of :-http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2718440/ )
Geoff.
Yes,Geoff, a riotous comedy... couldn't agree more. ;-)

I just re-watched this film which I haven't seen since it first came out but always stayed with me. And it is as topical now as it was then. Very subtle, funny and with great music and locations.

Hi All, Watched the pure fantasy 'Stardust' via (Sky Cinema) if your into the genre you'll enjoy it. It has a host of recognisable British stars from both 'Tv and Silver Screen' plus a some hitters from the 'US' in particular 'R.De-Niro' who has quite a funny roll not the usual roll he would play as many know him for. All in all a good 2Hr's of escapism that you can enjoy that has it's funny moments especially the ghosts...
Starring:-Claire Danes,Charlie Cox,Michelle Pfeiffer,Robert De Niro,Mark Strong,Jason Flemyng,Rupert Everett,Kate Magowan Ricky Gervais,Peter O'Toole,Joanna Scanlan,Sarah Alexander,Mark Heap,Julian Rhind-Tutt,Adam Buxton,David Walliams Nathaniel Parker,Ben Barnes,Sienna Miller as Victoria Forester,Henry Cavill,David Kelly,Melanie Hill,Mark Williams,Jake Curran George Innes,Dexter Fletcher,Eliot (Coco) Sumner and Ian McKellen(Narrator).
To win the heart of his beloved (Sienna Miller), a young man named Tristan (Charlie Cox) ventures into the realm of fairies to retrieve a fallen star. What Tristan finds, however, is not a chunk of space rock, but a woman (Claire Danes) named Yvaine. Yvaine is in great danger, for the king's sons need her powers to secure the throne, and an evil witch (Michelle Pfeiffer) wants to use her to achieve eternal youth and beauty.

Hi All, Watched the low budget drama via (Sky Cinema) '100 Streets' if you like drama and interconnecting stories by loose threads then this is for you I enjoyed it for what it was a not to difficult to follow plot with plenty of recognisable stars from UK Tv and Film....
Starring:-Idris Elba,Gemma Arterton,Franz Drameh,Ken Stott,Kierston Wareing,Charlie Creed-Miles,Tom Cullen,Ryan Gage and Adam Iraki.
Three different stories covering infidelity, adoption and a drug dealer turned actor are intertwined as characters meet in the streets of London.

Hi All, Watched the at least IMO the rather underrated but good pure fantasy 'Warcraft' via (Sky Cinema). After many years stuck in development the film based on the world wide popular role player game has taken the game based film genre to a better level (Not quite there yet ).
The CGI is evident at times but they are getting closer and closer where reality and 'CGI' will blur into one seamless experience in the not to distant future I am certain. Just take a viewing of 'Jungle Book' everything in that film is 'CGI' apart from mogli, anyway if your into the fantasy genre you should enjoy this movie and the ending sets up a sequel which I am personally looking forward to....
Starring:-Travis Fimmel (Radnor from Vikings) as Anduin Lothar, the military commander of the human forces in Stormwind Kingdom. Steadfast and charismatic, Anduin is a knight who has sacrificed everything to keep the king and his people safe. Paula Patton as Garona Halforcen, a strong-willed half-orc survivor caught between the Alliance and the Horde. Ben Foster as Medivh, the current Guardian of Tirisfal and a mysterious and reclusive protector who wields formidable magical power. Daniel Wu as Gul'dan, a sinister Shadowmoon orc warlock. Wielding powerful fel magic and driven by his ravenous desire for power, he orchestrates the actions of the Horde from behind the scenes.
Dominic Cooper as King Llane Wrynn, ruler of the Stormwind Kingdom and a beacon of hope for his people in times of darkness. Toby Kebbell as Durotan, the father of Go'el and the noble orc chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan battling to save his exiled clan and the rest of the renegade orcs from Gul'dan and the destruction of their world. Kebbell also portrays the Archmage Antonidas, leader of the Kirin Tor, the mage council of Dalaran. Ben Schnetzer as Khadgar, a gifted young mage who was trained at a young age by the Kirin Tor to succeed Medivh as Guardian, but left and eventually found his place in the Stormwind Kingdom. Robert Kazinsky as Orgrim Doomhammer, Durotan's best friend and right-hand man who later leads the survivors of the Frostwolf Clan.Clancy Brown as Blackhand, the fearsome orc chieftain of the Blackrock Clan and puppet of Gul'dan who rises to become the first warchief of the Horde.
Ruth Negga as Lady Taria Wrynn, Queen-consort of Stormwind, King Llane's wife and most trusted counsel, and Anduin's sister. Anna Galvin as Draka, Durotan's mate and the mother of Go'el. Callum Keith Rennie as Moroes, the castellan who manages Medivh's arcane stronghold of Karazhan. Burkely Duffield as Callan Lothar, son of Anduin and a soldier who follows in his father's footsteps. Ryan Robbins as Karos, a soldier of Stormwind. Dean Redman as Varis as Varis, a soldier of Stormwind. Redman also portrayed a caged Frostwolf Clan orc.
Terry Notary appears as Grommash Hellscream, the orc chieftain of the Warsong Clan, though the part is listed in the credits as Peon. Notary also served as stunt coordinator and movement coach for the film, working with cast members Kebbell, Kazinsky, Brown, Wu and Galvin on their portrayals of the orcs, and with Foster on his portrayals of magic. Michael Adamthwaite appears as King Magni Bronzebeard, the dwarf ruler of Ironforge. Tommy Rieder and Dylan Schombing appear as a young Medivh and Varian Wrynn, respectively.
Glenn Close makes an uncredited appearance as Alodi, an ancient mage locked in an artifact within Dalaran, described as "the Guardian before there was a Guardian". In the comics, Alodi was the first Guardian of Tirisfal and a male half-elf, while the character in the film is closer to that of Aegwynn, Medivh's mother. Chris Metzen, who served as the writer for the film and is the Senior Vice-President of Story and Franchise Development at Blizzard Entertainment and the voice of Thrall in the Warcraft franchise, makes an uncredited cameo appearance as a turbaned perfume vendor on the streets of Stormwind Kingdom.
I have left character descriptions in for those not familiar with this role playing game adaptation....
Looking to escape from his dying world, the orc shaman Gul'dan utilizes dark magic to open a portal to the human realm of Azeroth. Supported by the fierce fighter Blackhand, Gul'dan organizes the orc clans into a conquering army called the Horde. Uniting to protect Azeroth from these hulking invaders are King Llane, the mighty warrior Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel) and the powerful wizard Medivh. As the two races collide, leaders from each side start to question if war is the only answer.
