No doubt Rick is always up for a laugh but maybe if he had concentrated more of his time on writing songs of a quality we know he is capable of then maybe the band would have stuck more to their rock/boogie roots that us old duffers on here appreciate most.Instead most of their post ff output basically became a vehicle for Frames well publicised preference for country influenced music.Lets face it after the band continued after the split their output became increasingly pseudo Rossi solo projects.
As for Aquostic I never really bought into it.Stripped bare?Hardly, when you look at the number of musicians involved it was anything but.
Never been a great fan of the whole "let's go acoustic" deal but imho opinion a few artists pulled it off namely Nirvana and Neil Young from the original MTV unplugged series of shows.
Oh well, here's to the long anticipated Aquostic 2.

I still can't believe Quo intend to hang up the 'electrics' and ride into the sunset playing acoustic. Ffs they were once the number one band in the land. If you're going to go then go out with a bang Quo... not a fizzer. I'll never forget that image of Rick on the bus after the last FF gig saying 'what about me... what about what I want to do?' I'm sure Rick doesn't want to go out as an Everly Brother. .

My great Quo ending would be for them to record an FF album called Into The Sunset and give it a bash on tour..Australia and NZ included of course.
