Not from the period I loved them for, a bit later, and quite a different sound,
....but a pretty great song none-the-less.
IMHO,

Sorry Jeff but for me this is when Quo went too twee. I do like their melodic stuff but to my ear this is bland chart material. I'm sure I put up with it at the time because it wasn't until post the split that I would ever admitted to disliking anything they did.

Yeah, it´s a matter of taste as everything about music is I suppose. To me this is a special song that has depth to it, that makes me feel something. A kind of poignancy to it.
More Rossi brilliance.
IMHO,
Jeff

I really like this song. For me it is simple. Likes most of the Quo songs with JC on drums.

I just want them to stop half way through and do some mental Quo thing.

I never liked the 'whistling' and that put me off the song but I really loved the acoustic version at the Roundhouse. I agree the lyrics are boderline twee/poignant but it's a good tune and shows what we have always known, that they have diversity in their songwriting and don't all sound the same.

Loved the Solo and it has a special poignancy to it after I read what John Eaden had to say about it.

Alan's looking at Francis at 1:05 as if to say "no it's not"
