Yes good wee tune and it and POMM were indeed good live on the Pictures tour. Another two that could easily go back in the set at the expense of CUOY and The Oriental.

It's good but I prefer the b-side: When My Mind Is Not Live

It's good but I prefer the b-side: When My Mind Is Not Live ricky on vocals... Aye, but I don't care who does what - just as long as it works.

It's good but I prefer the b-side: When My Mind Is Not Live Yep, same here. Both great early tracks but WMMINL easily wins for me. Quo showing from an early stage that their b-sides were great. Personally, even though the next hit; Down The Dustpipe, was a bloody good boogie number I again preferred the b-side; Face Without A Soul. I loved that guitar sound on the intro.

Also love the version of when my mind is not live by Fabienne Delsol. One of the best Quo covers ever.
I admire these early Quo songs and the sound they created. They were artistic and adventurous then (and continued this unto the 1970's only for the complete sh1t of Comedy Quo to destroy it all)
Apparently John Lennon expressed an interest in working with the guy who wrote 'Pictures of Matchstick Men.'
Fabienne Delsol
(and thus is fantastic cover of paper plane by Persephone's Bees)

unspokenwordsFantastic! I've not heard that cover of WMMINL before. Very faithful to the original and her voice suits it. Love it. Cheers for posting that one. Yes, I've always liked Persephone's Bees version of Paper Plane. Got a nice edge to it.
