Watched 20 or so minutes and then hit the fast forward. If you're interested in a modern update on the life of the Bishop of Bath and Welles you'll enjoy this. I've had to wash out my TV with soap after this 'entertainment'.

I thought it was brilliant TV. That and Ripley are my TV highlights of the year so far.

I read about this. The one where the guy that was stalked was the actor actually playing the part. I think he wrote it as well. Couldn't swear to that though. Doesn't sound like my thing but sometimes you never know. We're watching "Smother" on Netflix at the mo. I thought it was OK at first but I'm bored now. What started as a bit of a murder mystery has turned into just a bit of a soap by the second series. A drama about a dysfunctional and frankly annoying family. Complete with obligatory matriarch. Unfortunately, Mrs Mortified loves it, so I'm stuck with it for a bit. But I'll get my own back. I'll make her watch all 18 seasons (or whatever it is) of "River Monsters"

Beautifully shot and decent story. Don't let the B&W put you off. Artistic choice I guess to add to the 'Noir' feel.

Ripley, goodness me, its brilliant. Shot in black and white and based mainly in Italy gives it very atmospheric slant. Top notch acting as well.

Thanks for the recommendation. I thought it was another Alien spin off. (And I thought Baby Reindeer was the latest Attenborough.)

I've had to wash out my TV with soap after this 'entertainment'. Blast from the past! Just before we met my late husband spent more than a year as a patient in the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases in Bath. One Saturday night there was an official big staff party with much excitement. The patients in one ward were envious and elected my Lawrie to see what goodies he could nick. Dressed in an assortment of non-nightclothes and a white coat, carrying a lidded bucket he mingled with the preparations and relieved them of sausage rolls, pies and cakes. Got cocky and went for a second raid but got caught. Summoned to MATRON who said he would be expelled as soon as she could contact his parents to collect him. Who would be his saviour? - only the Bishop of Bath and Wells. On sunday mornings there were 2 hospital services, one CofE and one chapel at which musical patients usually played piano. The CofE patient/pianist had a flare-up and they had to beg Lawrie to play for the hymns at the service led by the Bishop in all his pomp and no more mention of expulsion.

We’re 3 eps into this - so far the guy is the closest thing I’ve ever seen to a real-life clown, I mean ffs he gives idiots a bad name. Actually feel more sorry for yer woman than I do for him! We’ll stick with it cos we’ve started, but looking forward to it being finished. 🤬
