I remember reading a review for Alan's compilation CD, Life After Quo, in, I think, Metal Hammer, and it mentioned Alan's imminent return to play shows in the UK. But that was the only time I ever heard mention of him playing over here.

I saw that tour in Sweden, I don’t remember the date but I think it was during wintertime. Then they returned to Sweden in the summer (it was probably at that occasion they met Rick and Rhino) but I didn’t see them then. I remember it as a good gig but a bit of a disappointment that Spud only played the congas and not the drums.

This press clipping is an advertisement to promoters no? So maybe no one took them up on it

Lack of interest by promoters and venues maybe. John wasn’t with Alan long either and went to coghlan’s Quo not long after??

Does say "Touring the UK for first time in 13 years...? Well, the last time Alan & John toured the UK together would have been 1981, so I suppose that's the reasoning there

I notice on the gigography that there are soundboard recordings of 30/08/87 The Tivoli and 20/05/89 The Crows Nest. Does anyone have copies of those? I love the Bombers and would love a copy. Thanks

Many thanks for the link! I can now see that the gig I saw was november 1994 (Lönnkrogen, Gothenburg) and I’m pretty sure that the meeting between Alan, Rick and Rhino took place in Gothenburg July 7th 1995 as Quo played there (as support to Rod Stewart at Ullevi Stadium) the same day as Lancaster Bombers did an aftenoon gig at Barken Viking, less than a kilometer from the stadium.
